An object of the present invention is to obtain a capsule for treating ulcerative colitis which, when a capsule containing indigo is orally administered, acts more effectively than conventional ones and has less side effects of hepatotoxicity by not easily disintegrating in the stomach and small intestine but only in the large intestine. The present invention relates to a capsule for treating ulcerative colitis which disintegrates locally in the large intestine, comprising a drug-containing content, a protective layer coating the content and a film formed outside the protective layer, which are arranged concentrically, wherein the content is a content in which indigo, which is a drug for treating ulcerative colitis, is dispersed or dissolved, and the film is locally disintegrated in the large intestine.

According to the present invention, an anti-allergic agent is provided which includes a polysaccharide comprising galactose, glucose and rhamnose as constituents, or includes a microorganism belonging to a genus Bifidobacterium and extracellularly producing the polysaccharide. The anti-allergic agent of the present invention can be used in oral compositions and compositions for external application, and is suitable for use in products such as food products, pharmaceutical products, and cosmetics.

The present invention provides a seamless capsule for exterminating insect pests, particularly the capsule effective for termites, which hardly affects an ecological system other than the insect pests, such as a human being and domestic animals and useful insects around the human being, has an excellent safety and an excellent transporting rate by insect pests, particularly termites and has an improved exterminating efficiency per number of capsules transported or per unit time, and a method of exterminating insect pests by using the seamless capsule. The present invention relates to a seamless capsule for exterminating insect pests, wherein the seamless capsule imitates an egg of an insect pest and the seamless capsule comprises a content material to be enclosed and a shell film material layer including the content material therein, wherein an active ingredient for exterminating insect pests is contained in the content material and/or the shell film material layer, an egg recognition pheromone is coated on the surface of the seamless capsule, and the seamless capsule has a surface roughness (Ra) of 0.005 to 5 μm.

A Maillard reaction inhibitor which effectively inhibits the progress of a Maillard reaction in a living body, can be safely applied without adverse side effects, can be manufactured without any complicated process, a skin anti-aging agent, an anti-diabetic complication agent and foods and beverages using the same. The Maillard reaction inhibitor contains 50 to 90% by mass of polyphenol as an active ingredient. The Maillard reaction inhibitor has a potent Maillard reaction inhibitory activity in a living body and allows for the prevention and improvement of the various dysfunction of protein in a living body. Due to this activity, the Maillard reaction inhibitor suppresses aging and can prevent and/or treat diabetic complications. Furthermore, when the above-described tannin is mixed in foods and beverages containing collagen, it is possible to suppress the Maillard reaction in the foods and beverages to suppress the deterioration of the foods and beverages.
