Abstract:
A lens includes a light incident surface, a first light emitting surface, and a second light emitting surface. The first light emitting surface is a convex, curved surface and opposite to the light incident surface. The first light emitting surface includes a first border; the first light emitting surface and the light incident surface cooperatively form a convex lens portion with an optical axis. The second light emitting surface is located at a side of the first light emitting surface adjacent to the first border, and the second light emitting surface is a rough surface for refracting light randomly.
Abstract:
A cigarette includes lighting and mouth ends. It may include a smokable segment disposed at the lighting end. It also includes a mouth-end segment; an aerosol-generation system disposed between the lighting and mouth ends, which includes (i) a heat-generation segment adjacent the smokable segment, including a heat source configured to be activated by combustion of a smokable material and an insulation layer, and (ii) an aerosol-generating segment including a monolithic substrate with aerosol-forming material disposed between, but physically separate from, each of the heat generation segment and the mouth end; a piece of outer wrapping material that provides an overwrap around at least a portion of the aerosol-generating segment, the heat-generation segment, and at least a portion of the smokable segment; those segments being connected together by the overwrap to provide a cigarette rod; that is connected to the cigarette rod using tipping material.
Abstract:
A scribe line structure is disclosed. The scribe line structure includes a semiconductor substrate having a die region, a die seal ring region, disposed outside the die region, a scribe line region disposed outside the die seal ring region and a dicing path formed on the scribe line region. Preferably, the center line of the dicing path is shifted away from the center line of the scribe line region along a first direction.
Abstract:
A method of detecting malignancy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and a nasopharyngeal carcinoma malignancy biomarker are disclosed. Firstly, a specimen is obtained from a testee. Next, the specimen is tested for its MIP-3α expression level. Then, the MIP-3α expression level of the specimen is compared with that of a control. Finally, the malignancy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is determined according to a relative MIP-3α expression level between the specimen and the control.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a technique for result set management. One or more result sets are stored. Each result set was generated by executing a query. When at least one of a number of result sets that may be stored and a number of bucket tables that may hold result sets is modified, it is determined whether any of the one or more result sets are to be removed. When it is determined that one or more of the result sets are to be removed, those result sets are removed.
Abstract:
A pixel circuit for a liquid crystal display panel includes a capacitor unit, a voltage-regulating mechanism, a first switching member, and a second switching member. The liquid crystal display panel includes a plurality of scan lines and data lines. The voltage-regulating mechanism is coupled to the first and second liquid crystal capacitors thereby enabling the first and second liquid crystal capacitors to be configured with different voltages when a voltage is applied to the capacitor unit. The first switching member is coupled to the capacitor unit, one of two corresponding scan lines, and one of two corresponding data lines. The second switching member is coupled to the second liquid crystal capacitor, the other of two corresponding scan lines.
Abstract:
A vapor deposition device using a lift-off process includes an evaporation source, a space frame mounted for rotation about a first axis that passes through the evaporation source, a central dome-shaped wafer holder mounted to the space frame wherein a centerpoint of the central dome-shaped wafer holder is aligned with the first axis, a orbital dome-shaped wafer holder mounted to the space frame in a position offset from the first axis and rotatable about a second axis that passes through a centerpoint of the orbital dome-shaped wafer holder and the evaporation source, and a plurality of wafer positions on the central dome-shaped wafer holder and the orbital dome-shaped wafer holder where each of the wafer positions are offset from the first axis and the second axis. Each of the plurality of wafer positions are configured to orient a substrate surface of a wafer mounted therein substantially orthogonal to a radial axis extending from the wafer position to the evaporation source during rotation about the first axis and the second axis.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method, information processing system, and computer readable medium for managing data collection in a distributed processing system. The method includes dynamically collecting at least one statistical query pattern associated with a selected group of information processing nodes. The statistical query pattern is dynamically collected from a plurality of information processing nodes in a distributed processing system. At least one operating attribute distribution associated with an operating attribute that has been queried for the selected group is dynamically monitored. The selected group is dynamically configured, based on the query pattern and the operating attribute distribution, to periodically push a set of attributes associated with the each information processing node in the selected group.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a metal styrene polymer composite having nano metallic particles deposited thereon is disclosed, which includes a) undergoing free radical polymerization of styrene and an optional co-monomer in the presence of a persulfate initiator and a chain transfer agent; and b) contacting the resulting styrene oligomer or copolymer of styrene and the co-monomer from step a) with an aqueous solution containing a noble metal ion dissolved therein, so that the noble metal ion is reduced to element form particles and deposit on the styrene oligomer or copolymer of styrene and the co-monomer by sulfates on the oligomer or copolymer in the absence of a reducing agent.
