    Abstract: A MEMS transducer system has a transducer configured to convert a received signal into an output signal for forwarding by a transducer output port, and an integrated circuit having an IC input in communication with the transducer output port. The IC input is configured to receive an IC input signal produced as a function of the output signal. The system also has a dividing element coupled between the IC input and the transducer output port. The dividing element is configured to selectively attenuate one or more signals into the IC input to at least in part produce the IC input signal. Other implementations may couple a feedback loop to the ground of the transducer (similar to bootstrapping), or pick off voltages at specific portions of the transducer.

    Abstract: A method for mobility and zone management in zone-based federated learning includes receiving, at a zone management device of multiple zone management devices, a global model from a first network device associated with the global model. Each of the multiple zone management devices is associated with a corresponding zone model of multiple zone models. The zone management device transmits the global model to mobile devices in a first zone associated with the first zone model based on a zone membership. The zone management device receives weights associated with the global model from each mobile device in the first zone. The zone management device updates the first zone model based on the received weights and the zone membership. The zone management device transmits the updated first zone model to each mobile device in the first zone.

    Abstract: A multiresolution parser (MRP) can selectively extract one or more information units from a dataset based on the available processing capacity and/or the arrival rate of the dataset. Should any of these parameters change, the MRP can adaptively change the information units to be extracted such that the benefit or value of the extracted information is maximized while minimizing the cost of extraction. This tradeoff is facilitated, at least in part, by an analysis of the spectral energy of the datasets expected to be processed by the MRP. The MRP can also determine its state after a processing iteration and use that state information in subsequent iterations to minimize the required computations in such subsequent iterations, so as to improve processing efficiency.

    Abstract: A split architecture is disclosed for determining the location of a wireless device in a heterogeneous wireless communications environment. A detector within the device or another component of the environment receives signals including parameters for a localization signal of the device. The parameters describe known in advance signals within the signals. Additional metadata including each frame start of the signals and assistance data and auxiliary information are also received. The known in advance signals are detected based on the parameters of the localization signal. Samples extracted from the known in advance signals are then processed and compressed and sent with other collect data to a locate server remote from the detector. The location server uses that information as well as similar information about the environment to calculate the location of the device, as well as perform tracking and navigation of the device, and report such results to the environment.

    Abstract: A system for performing tensor decomposition in a selective expansive and/or recursive manner, a tensor is decomposed into a specified number of components, and one or more tensor components are selected for further decomposition. For each selected component, the significant elements thereof are identified, and using the indices of the significant elements a sub-tensor is formed. In a subsequent iteration, each sub-tensor is decomposed into a respective specified number of components. Additional sub-tensors corresponding to the components generated in the subsequent iteration are formed, and these additional sub-tensors may be decomposed further in yet another iteration, until no additional components are selected. The mode of a sub-tensor can be decreased or increased prior to decomposition thereof. Components likely to reveal information about the data stored in the tensor can be selected for decomposition.
