摘要: When a print line is printed on a printing paper by supplying a print current to a thermal head, heating elements within the thermal head and a transfer ribbon are easily adhered together due to melted ink on surface of the transfer ribbon. Due to such adhering between the heating elements and the transfer ribbon, a white line is easily formed on a printing paper. In order to prevent such white line from being formed, the heating elements must be prevented from being cooled down after printing each print line. More specifically, in a period between a first time when each print line is completely printed and a second time when a printing paper is to be transported forward to a next print line, the heating elements are heated by relatively small heating value which is sufficient to melt a adhering portion formed between the heating elements and the transfer ribbon but which is insufficient to perform the printing. Thus, the heating elements are prevented from being adhered to the transfer ribbon, so that each print line can be printed with accuracy and without forming the white line.

摘要: An improved pattern inspection system for automatically inspecting patterns on a printed circuit board, a semiconductor chip, etc. The pattern inspection system includes an optical sensor, a binary conversion circuit, a memory storing binary converted data in a matrix form, a length measurement circuit, a reference circuit and a determination circuit. The length measurement circuit includes a gate unit for picking-up the binary converted data array from the memory in radial directions with respect to an origin and for a predetermined length in each direction, a unit for measuring radii of the pattern in the radial directions from the origin in response to the picked-up binary converted data, a unit for determining a center line of the pattern in the picked-up binary converted data array by the measured length of the first directions, and a unit for encoding the measured length of the second directions to numerals each corresponding to one length of each of the second directions. The reference circuit receives the coded numerals for a reference pattern and forms a coded reference in response to the coded numerals. The determination circuit receives coded numerals for a inspection pattern, compares a code in response to the received coded numerals with the coded reference in the reference circuit, and determines a fault in the inspection pattern.

摘要: A method of thermally printing a multicolor image on a print paper is disclosed. With this method, a lengthy multicolor image can be printed on a paper over a plurality of pages of a length determined by a length of each ink zone of an ink ribbon. First, the ink ribbon is set over a platen roller with the paper being interposed therebetween, the ink ribbon having plural groups of ink zones, the ink zones of each group carrying a plurality of heat-dissolving inks of different colors, respectively. One of the ink zones is positioned at a printing position where a thermal head contacts with the platen roller through the ink ribbon and paper. The thermal head is then activated in accordance with image data stored in a memory, and the ink ribbon and paper are advanced to effect transfer of ink so that one of color component images of the image is printed on the paper. The ink ribbon and paper are then advanced by a predetermined distance to separate the paper from the ink ribbon. The paper is then backwardly moved by a distance equal in length to the total advance of the paper effected in the transferring of ink and the separation of paper. The above operation is cyclicly carried out with respect to the other ink zones to form the multicolor image on the paper without effecting the backward movement in the final cycle. If image data is still present in the memory or if a command for causing the print operation of the image to continue is received, the paper is backwardly moved by a distance substantially equal in length to the advance of paper in the final separation of the paper.

摘要: A Bezier curve constituting outline font data represents a curve by four coordinate values of a start point, an end point, and two control points. The curve is represented by two coordinates of the start point and the end point in collinear approximation, and by three coordinates of the start point, an intersecting point of two lines, and the end point in bi-linear approximation. In curve pattern approximation, when 32 curve patterns are prepared, the curve is represented by 5-bit data of two coordinates of the start point and the end point, and a pattern number. By effectively employing these three kinds of processes, it is possible to represent a Bezier curve constituting the outline font data with a reduced data volume.

摘要: A breather device comprises a breather chamber (22) provided in a valve arm chamber (2) arranged above a cylinder head of an engine. In the breather chamber, blow-by gas including oil mist is separated into oil component and gas component, and the oil mist is removed from the blow-by gas. The interior of the breather chamber is alternately divided into plural horizontally juxtaposed rooms (22a, 22b, 22c) by a partition (23) extended from a bottom surface of the breather chamber and a partition (2a) extended from a ceiling surface of the breather chamber. Plural oil trap members (10) for trapping oil mist in the blow-by gas are arranged in the breather chamber. Especially, the oil trap member arranged at a blow-by gas inlet of the breather chamber is held by a holder (11) made separately from members (2, 7) forming the valve arm chamber (5).
