摘要: A variable capacity vane compressor has an annular control element angluarly displaceably received within an annular recess formed in one of side blocks defining a cylinder. The control element is angularly displaced in response to a difference in pressure between first and second pressure chambers formed in the one side block and communicating with a zone under lower pressure and a zone under higher pressure, respectively, and to the biasing force of a biasing member, thereby varying the opening angle of at least one second inlet port formed in the one side block and hence controlling the capacity of the compressor. A positioning device is provided at a radially inner portion of the control element to radially position the control element in place within the annular recess of the one side block with reference to the radially inner portion of the control element, thus relieving the hysteresis between angular displacement of the control element in one circumferential directions and that in the opposite direction.

摘要: In a sliding-vane rotary compressor, one of the opposite open ends of a cylinder is closed by a first head, the other open end being closed by a side block to which is secured a second head so as to define jointly with the side block a low pressure chamber and a high pressure chamber. With this construction, one side block can be omitted and hence the number of structural components is reduced. Preferably, a displacement adjustment mechanism is incorporated in the side block and the second head for adjusting the displacement of the compressor.

摘要: A water content detecting device for any type of diaper such as a cloth made reusable diaper, a paper made disposable diaper, or the like includes a sensing unit for sensing the degree of wetness of the diaper and an informing unit for transmitting the information representing the degree of wetness to a nursing person at a remote place. The sensing unit is detachably interposed in the diaper to be detected. The sensing unit is composed of a water impermeable upper sheet, a water permeable lower sheet, and a pair of metal layers placed between the upper sheet and the lower sheet and extending in the longitudinal direction of the sheets in parallel. One of the metal layers is covered with an electrical insulating layer. The informing unit is connected to the sensing unit through a pair of leads, and composed of a water content detecting circuit for detecting the change of electrostatic capacitance between the two metal layers of the sensing unit, a wave form shaping circuit, and an oscillating circuit. This water content detecting circuit mainly consists of an astable multivibrator which uses the two metal layers of the sensing unit as its feedback capacitor.

摘要: Disclosed is a gain control circuit which comprises a gain control section including as its essential component a differential amplifier with which diodes or transistors arranged to act as diodes are connected as a load, and a control signal section including a logarithmic compression circuit and an exponential expansion circuit and providing a control signal for control of the gain of the gain control section. A temperature compensation circuit having a temperature dependence cancelling both the temperature dependence of the gain control section and that of the control signal section is provided in the bias circuit for the transistor in the last stage of the control signal section, so that the desired temperature compensation for the entire gain control circuit can be achieved at a single point.

摘要: A peristaltic pump in which a tube is stably supported by a platen so as to be stably collapsed by fingers during normal operation, whereas, when an excessively large collapsing force is exerted by one of the fingers, the excess portion of the force is absorbed without fail so as to realize a stable pumping operation. The level or ability for absorbing the excess collapsing force is easily adjustable in accordance with changes in conditions such as the elasticity of the tube and the size of the tube. The tube can be stably set in a proper position between the platen and a group of the fingers.
