摘要： Compositions that include bis(glyoxime)-transition metal complexes bound to metal oxide solid supports are provided. In some embodiments the compositions include nickel dimethylglyoxime and the metal oxide supports can be alumina or silica. These compositions can be used to make a colorimetric moisture-indicating sensor that changes visible reflection spectrum quantitatively and reversibly according to the amount of moisture in contact with the sensor. Also provided is a method of detecting moisture using the provided compositions.

摘要： Assay devices are provided including a receptacle having a sample entry port; a plunger disposed within the receptacle; at least one reagent; a membrane attached to a first surface of the plunger; a wick providing capillary force; and a detection zone. The membrane includes a target conjugate zone in which affinity components are disposed. Capture compounds are immobilized in a detection zone, which is located between the target conjugate zone and the wick. A method of detecting a target analyte is also provided, including providing the assay device; providing a sample suspected to contain a target analyte; adding the sample onto the device; allowing the sample to travel along the membrane until the sample reaches the detection zone; immobilizing the target analyte through reaction of the target analyte with the capture compounds; reacting the immobilized target analyte with a reagent to generate a detectable signal; and detecting the generated signal.

The voltage sensor has a tubular shape and an axial passageway (40), which can receive the conductor. The voltage sensing device comprises a) a radially-inner electrode (20), operable as a first sensing electrode of a sensing capacitor for sensing the voltage of the power-carrying conductor, b) a radially-outer electrode (30), operable as a second sensing electrode of the sensing capacitor, and c) a solid carrier element (10), at least a first portion of which is arranged between the inner electrode and the outer electrode, the first portion being operable as a dielectric of the sensing capacitor. The sensor can be accommodated in a cable accessory. The carrier element may comprise ceramic material to increase accuracy.

These compositions can be used to make a colorimetric relative humidity-indicating sensor. A method of adjusting the colorimetric response of a moisture-indicating composition and a method of detecting moisture are also provided.
