Abstract: A secondary battery and a battery unit is provided. The secondary battery includes: a housing including an accommodating hole with an opening; a top cover assembly connected to the housing in a sealed manner to cover and close the opening; an electrode assembly arranged in the accommodating hole, wherein the top cover assembly is spaced apart from the electrode assembly to form a first buffer gap for buffering the amount of expansion deformation of the electrode assembly in the axial direction. When the secondary battery expands, the first buffer gap can absorb the amount of expansion deformation to prevent the top cover assembly from being disconnected from the housing due to excessive stress, so as to reduce the possibility of failure of the secondary battery due to damage of the overall structure, thereby ensuring the structural integrity and the safety of the secondary battery.

The battery cell comprises: a case with an opening; an electrode assembly accommodated within the case; and an end cover closing the opening, wherein the end cover is in sealed connection with the case through a first connection area and a second connection area, the strength of the first connection area is less than the strength of the second connection area, and the first connection area is configured to be actuated to release an internal pressure of the battery cell when the internal pressure exceeds a threshold. The battery cell, battery, and electrical device provided in the present application are capable of reducing the manufacturing cost of battery cells while ensuring the safety of batteries, and further reducing the assembly processes of the battery cells.

Abstract: Provided are a battery charging method and device, and a storage medium that are applicable to a lithium-ion battery with an N/P range of 0.5 to 1.1. The method includes: obtaining, by a power management system, a state of health (SOH) loss of the lithium-ion battery; and determining a charge cut-off voltage of a next charge process based on the SOH loss, an initial charge cut-off voltage of the lithium-ion battery, and a voltage correction factor, where the initial charge cut-off voltage is determined based on the N/P, and the charge cut-off voltage increases with increase of a count of charging. The N/P range is 0.5 to 1.1, thereby reducing the dosage of the negative electrode and reducing cost. In addition, the charge cut-off voltage of the next charge process is increased based on the SOH loss, thereby ensuring that the lithium-ion battery is free from lithium plating.

The insulating housing includes a plurality of accommodating spaces, each accommodating space has an opening. Adjacent accommodating spaces are separated by a barrier. Each accommodating space is used to accommodate one group of the electrode assemblies. The battery further includes an end cover provided with a plurality of pairs of electrode terminals. Each pair of electrode terminals corresponds to one of the accommodating spaces. The end cover is connected to the insulating housing, and covers openings of the plurality of accommodating spaces, so as to enclose the plurality of groups of electrode assemblies in the plurality of accommodating spaces.
