    摘要: A wireless mesh network where a portion of the nodes have reduced receive sensitivity. The negative effects of the density of the wireless mesh network, such as interference, are reduced when fewer nodes receive messages to rebroadcast. In an alternative embodiment, some of the nodes of the mesh network are configured to not rebroadcast even if they receive a message. A method for configuring a dense mesh network is also provided. As many nodes as possible are discovered and registered in the network. Node characteristics of those nodes are adjusted to reduce or eliminate the negative effects of the dense mesh network so that additional nodes may be discovered and registered.

    摘要: A wireless damper control device comprises a damper positioned in a flue, movable between a closed position where the flue is blocked and an open position, a damper controller which sends a damper signal which moves the damper between the open position and the closed position, and a fire side controller which transmits a fireplace signal to open a gas valve to initiate combustion when a fire is desired at a fireplace, and to close the gas valve to terminate combustion when a fire is no longer desired at the fireplace, and which receives a damper status signal from the damper controller indicating whether the damper is in the closed position or the open position. When a fire is desired at the fireplace, the fire side controller transmits a damper control signal to move the damper to the open position, and the fireside controller transmits the fireplace signal to open the gas valve after receiving the damper status signal indicating that the damper is in the open position, and the fire side controller is wirelessly connected to the flue side controller.

    摘要: A latching circuit is coupled to the vehicle's power supply and to a trainable transmitter microprocessor such that upon initial training, the latch is set to maintain a logic level signal to the microprocessor for enabling the microprocessor once initially trained. If, however, the power is removed from the latch circuit and reapplied, as may occur if the trainable transmitter is removed from the vehicle, the latch circuit will provide a different logic level signal to the microprocessor either disabling the transmit function for the microprocessor or erasing the code stored in the nonvolatile memory. The trainable transmitter, thus, will not be useful unless retrained utilizing the homeowner's original transmitter. The invention, the latch circuit includes a pair of MOSFETs with a very low current drain coupled in a flip-flop configuration such that their operational state will reverse once set upon removal and reapplication of power.

    摘要: A trainable transceiver for learning and transmitting an activation signal that includes a rolling or other variable code for remotely actuating a device, such as a garage door opener. The trainable transceiver preferably includes a receiver, a signal generator, and a controller operating in a learning mode or in an operating mode. In the learning mode the controller recognizes the presence of a variable code, identifies a prestored cryptographic algorithm related to the cryptographic algorithm used by the remote transmitter to generate the variable code, and stores data identifying the cryptographic algorithm and last transmitted code of the activation signal. In the operating mode, the controller generates output data representing a next sequential code of the variable code using the identified cryptographic algorithm and the data representing the last transmitted code. The signal generator receives the output data from the controller and for transmits a modulated signal, which corresponds to a received activation signal and includes a variable code recognizable by a receiver of a remotely actuated device.
