Abstract: An LED lighting apparatus including a plurality of lens members aligned substantially along a preferential/non-preferential line. Each lens member being elongate across the preferential/non-preferential line with all elongate lens members being in substantially same orientation and each configured for light to exit the unitary lens predominantly toward the preferential side. Each lens member includes an elongate opening for receiving light from a group of emitters aligned across the preferential/non-preferential line; a refracting inner surface forming a void and having a racetrack-shaped surrounding surface extending from the opening to a substantially planar elongate end surface; and a lateral surface having opposed preferential and non-preferential surface portions, the non-preferential portion being at an angle to the base plane which is greater than the angle of the preferential portion to the base plane.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus is provided with a housing having an upper assembly, a lower assembly, and a middle assembly. A lighting module is positioned within the housing in which the lighting module includes at least one light emitting diode (LED). A reflector is positioned within an outer lens of the middle portion of the housing above the lighting module. A reflector plate is positioned within the housing at approximately the same level or below the lighting module. The reflector plate is configured to reflect light emitted by the at least one LED after the light is reflected by the reflector. The outer lens is configured to refract light emitted by the at least one LED after the light has been reflected by the reflector.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus is provided with a first housing assembly formed from a thermally conductive material and a second housing assembly formed of a thermally conductive material. At least one electrical component is positioned within the first housing assembly and the at least one electrical component is in thermally conductive contact with the first housing assembly. At least one light source is in thermally conductive contact with the second housing assembly. The second housing assembly is not in thermally conductive contact with the first housing assembly, such that thermal energy from the first housing assembly does not directly transfer to the second housing assembly.

Abstract: A luminaire with a plurality of optical waveguides disposed in side-by-side relationship, together at least partially defining a closed path, and a plurality of optical coupling portions disposed adjacent to the optical waveguides. Further, each optical coupling portion is associated with one of the optical waveguides, and each coupling portion includes a refractive portion and a pair of reflective portions disposed on opposite sides of the refractive portion. Additionally, at least one LED is associated with each optical coupling portion and disposed at a first end of the associated optical coupling portion.
