    Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve includes a frame, a valve member, and a sealing member. The frame is expandable from a collapsed state to an expanded state. The frame has inflow and outflow ends, a lumen extending between the ends, and a plurality of struts defining a plurality of cells. The valve member is disposed within the lumen of the frame and is movable between open and closed configurations. The sealing member is mounted inside of the frame. When the frame is in the expanded state and the valve member is in the closed configuration, portions of the sealing member can protrude outwardly through the cells of the frame and extend beyond an exterior surface of the struts of the frame.

A valve frame can have a tapered profile when mounted on a delivery shaft, with an inflow end portion having a smaller diameter than an outflow end portion. The valve can comprise generally V-shaped leaflets, reducing material within the inflow end of the frame. An outer skirt can be secured to the outside of the inflow end portion of the frame, the outer skirt having longitudinal slack when the valve is expanded and lying flat against the frame when the valve is collapsed. A diagonally woven inner skirt can elongate axially with the frame. Side tabs of adjacent leaflets can extend through and be secured to window frame portions of the frame to form commissures. The window frame portions can be depressed radially inward relative to surrounding frame portions when the valve is crimped onto a delivery shaft.

    Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve includes a collapsible and expandable annular frame. The frame includes a plurality of rows of hexagonal cells. Each of the hexagonal cells is defined by six struts, including: two opposing side struts extending parallel to each other, a first pair of angled struts extending from respective first ends of the side struts and converging to intersect with each other, and a second pair of angled struts extending from respective second ends of the side struts and converging to intersect with each other. The prosthetic heart valve can also include a valvular structure with a plurality of leaflets. The prosthetic heart valve can further include a sealing member.

    Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve according to the present disclosure comprises a radially collapsible and expandable annular frame and a leaflet structure comprising a plurality of leaflets mounted within the frame. The frame in particular embodiments can have commissure attachment portions that are configured to support the commissures of the leaflets at locations spaced radially inwardly toward the longitudinal flow axis of the prosthetic valve relative to the frame portions circumscribing the moveable portions of the leaflets. When the leaflets open under pressure of blood flowing through the prosthetic valve, the moveable portions of the leaflets are retained at positions spaced inwardly from the inner surface of the frame to protect against abrasion of the leaflets.

    Abstract: A method of assembling a valvular structure can include folding an upper tab of a first leaflet onto a lower tab of the first leaflet, disposing a first end of a reinforcing member on the upper tab, disposing a commissure member adjacent the lower tab, and coupling the first end of the reinforcing member, the tabs of the first leaflet, and the commissure member to one another.     Abstract: Devices, assemblies, and methods for displacement of leaflets surrounding a prosthetic valve, such as native leaflets or host leaflets of a previously-implanted prosthetic valve, during valve implantation procedures are disclosed herein. As one example, a valve assembly can include a prosthetic valve and a leaflet engagement frame coupled to the frame of the prosthetic valve. The leaflet engagement frame can include a plurality of engagement frame struts defining one or more rungs, and a plurality of spikes that extend in a distal direction from a first rung of struts of the leaflet engagement frame. The distally extending spikes are configured to engage with one or more native or host leaflets positioned outside the valve assembly when the valve assembly is in a partially expanded state, and to distally fold the engaged native or host leaflets when the valve assembly is further expanded.
