    Abstract: A gateway apparatus for managing local-device access to vehicle data, including an input/output component for receiving requests for vehicle data from a local device and sending vehicle data to the local device. The apparatus also includes a tangible processing unit in communication with the input/output component and the input/output component, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage device. An access unit of the apparatus has access-unit code that receives, by way of the input/output component, a request for the vehicle data from a local device and determines whether the gateway apparatus may satisfy the request. A control unit has control-unit code that, when executed by the processing unit, determines what vehicle data will be provided. A data unit has data-unit code that prepares the vehicle data to be provided to the local device, and sends the vehicle data to the local device by way of the input/output component.

    Abstract: A method and system of resilient UWB target localization for a vehicle are provided. The system comprises a UWB tag arranged to be mobile and trackable by way of a sensor signal and at least three UWB anchors. Each anchor is in communication with the tag. The system further comprises a gateway in communication with the anchors. The gateway comprises an ECU arranged to receive sensor signals from UWB anchors. The ECU comprises a preprocessing module, a clustering module, and a Bayesian module. The preprocessing module is arranged to align sensor signals at an aligned timestamp to define aligned data. The clustering module is arranged to cluster points of intersections, defining a sensed location for each cluster. The Bayesian module is arranged to determine a real-time location of the tag based on a Bayesian probability function to match the sensed location with a predicted location of the tag.

    Abstract: A method of using a control system to estimate range of an electrified vehicle operated by a driver includes monitoring a first set of driver behaviors while the vehicle is in operation and comparing the monitored first set of driver behaviors to a plurality of known profiles having respective stored behaviors. The method may include matching the first set of driver behaviors to at least one of the known profiles to create an adapted driver model, modeling an adapted drive cycle profile based on the matched adapted driver model, and calculating a predicted driving range based on the adapted drive cycle profile. The method may classify the monitored first set of driver behaviors as at least one of conservative, neutral, and aggressive, relative to the plurality of known profiles, and model the adapted drive cycle profile is further based on the conservative, neutral, or aggressive classification.

    Abstract: A digital key sharing system includes an electronic circuit and a first server computer. The electronic circuit is configured to store a plurality of digital keys, receive a plurality of key sharing requests, and generate a plurality of features in response to the plurality of key sharing requests. The first server computer is in wireless communication with the electronic circuit and is configured to generate an alert signal in response to finding one or more anomalies in the plurality of features to initiate a notification to a primary user device associated with the electronic circuit, and send a suspend notification signal to the electronic circuit in response to the finding of the one or more anomalies in the plurality of features. The electronic circuit is further configured to suspend use of the plurality of digital keys in response to reception of the suspend notification signal.

    Abstract: A vehicle crowd sensing system and method of selective sensing for the vehicle crowd sensing system. The method, in one implementation, involves receiving a plurality of detection reports from a first set of vehicles, each detection report including an event, a position qualifier of the event, and a severity qualifier of the event; developing an inherent error model for the event that includes a compilation of the position qualifiers of the event and the severity qualifiers of the event; and determining a resampling instruction for the event. The resampling instruction is based on an action model and the action model is at least partly a factor of the inherent error model.
