摘要: The invention is directed to an arrangement for correcting the position of a laser beam guided by means of an articulated optical system. This system includes a position-sensitive detector at its output end for generating a signal which is passed to an adjustable mirror arranged on the input end. The adjustable mirror compensates for an excursion of the laser beam occurring as a result of faults in the guide means and bearings of the articulated arm. Prior to entering the articulated optical system, the laser beam or parallelly guided pilot beam is modulated with respect to the beam direction with a small amplitude by another adjustable mirror. The detector signal component corresponding to the modulation frequency is passed to an electronic circuit which determines the directional relationships between the excursion of the laser beam at the output of the articulated arm and the follow-up movement of the adjustable mirror for deflecting the beam. This determination is achieved independently of the amount of rotation of the rotational bearings.

摘要: An Nd:YAG laser of small size with a passive quality switch is combined with a slit-lamp instrument, to form an ophthalmological combination instrument for diagnosis and treatment. By a plurality of pulses within a pulse train, which succeed each other within the .mu. sec range, particularly good therapeutic effects are obtained. A second laser, emitting continuous visible radiation, has its beam aligned with the beam of invisible radiation from the first laser, and shows the user at all times the location of the beam of invisible radiation. The visible beam of radiation is split into two beams separated from each other by a light-free zone, and there is provision for blocking and unblocking these two beams alternately, which produces an effect which greatly aids the user in accurate focusing. This combination instrument affords the user the possibility of making a diagnosis and following it immediately by treatment.

摘要: A stitch-forming machine which has needles guided on a needle support for displacement in the longitudinal direction and controlled by needle cams and also has holding-down and knocking-over sinkers which are adapted for displacement between the needles in the region of their heads and are moved by sinker cams in the longitudinal and transverse directions relative to the needle support. In order to guide the needles and sinkers so that they are laterally stable and to be able to operate them quietly and using relatively little power, it is suggested that the sinkers be composed of a push sinker adapted for displacement solely in the longitudinal direction and a holding-down and knocking-over sinker articulatedly connected to the push sinker and adapted for displacement in both the longitudinal and transverse directions, that the needles and push sinkers be commonly guided between webs on the needle support means, the needles thereby resting against the backs of the push sinkers, and that the pivot connection between the push sinker on the one hand and the holding-down and knocking-over sinker on the other be designed and arranged such that the holding-down and knocking-over sinker is disposed between the needles in the region of their heads.

摘要: A process for the phosphatizing of metals, particularly iron, steel and zinc, in which the metal is contacted with acidic aqueous zinc phosphate solutions, containing an oxidizing agent, which containfrom 0.4 to 1.5 g/liter of Zn,from 0 to 1.3 g/liter of Ni andfrom 10 to 26 g/liter of P.sub.2 O.sub.5,and in which the weight ratio of Zn to P.sub.2 O.sub.5 is adjusted to a value of (from 0.012 to 0.12):1 and of Ni to Zn to a value of (from 0 to 1.5):1, and the bath is supplemented with a concentrate, in which Zn, Ni and P.sub.2 O.sub.5 are present in a weight ratio of (from 0.18 to 0.33:(from 0 to 0.06):1, so as to obtain satisfactory phosphatizing results over a long period.Preferably, the zinc phosphatizing solutions, which, in addition, may also contain simple or complex fluorides and compounds that reduce the weight of the coat, are applied at a temperature within the range of from 30.degree. to 65.degree. C.
