Magnetic amplifier post regulator (54) includes magnetic amplifier (42) that has a main magnetic amplifier winding, reset transistor (76), error amplifier (58), and auxiliary magnetic amplifier winding (220). Magnetic amplifier (42) controllably blocks a portion of the input voltage N.sub.s /N.sub.p V.sub.IN from winding (30) of transformer (18) in response to a controlled resetting condition and produces therefrom a magnetic amplifier output voltage (v.sub.2). Auxiliary output circuit (14) uses the magnetic amplifier (42) output voltage (v.sub.2) to produce the desired auxiliary output voltage (V.sub.OS). Reset transistor (76) controls reset current to magnetic amplifier (42) in response to an error signal from error amplifier (58). Error amplifier (58) compares auxiliary output voltage (V.sub.OS) to predetermined reference voltage (66) and generates the error signal from the comparison. Auxiliary magnetic amplifier winding (220) has a predetermined number of turns (N.sub.2) on magnetic amplifier (42) and increases the dynamic range of magnetic amplifier post regulator (54) for controlling reset transistor (76) and auxiliary output circuit (14) so that auxiliary output voltage (V.sub.OS) may attain a zero value while reset transistor (76) controls magnetic amplifier (42) in a blocking state (T.sub.B) during the entire on-time (T.sub.ON) of power switch transistor (24) of primary circuit (16).

The invention addressed in this application is non-injurious restraint type form of fencing designed to be used a perimeter or security fence. The fence is constructed of hollow polymer tubes arranged in horizontal rows affixed to a vertical post. The hollow tubular horizontal fence rails contain fibers that are coated with a moisture cured adhesives and the fibers are secured at one end to the end cap of the tubes. The tubes are sealed and slightly pressurized with a dry inert gas, so that upon breakage of the tubes by a person attempting to scale the fence, the fibers are expelled out of the tubes and entangle the would be climber. The tubes are constructed of a brittle material, like polystyrene, or material which will become brittle upon treatment with ultra violet (UV) radiation or heat.

A refrigerator is adapted to include a plurality of ultraviolet light bars, which may be adjustably connected to sufficiently radiate UV light throughout the refrigerator compartment in connection with a control box and power cord which operate to control the bacterial level present on and around foodstuffs being stored therein. A series of UV light bars are capable of being arranged and plugged into one another by daisy chain to allow for a timer-controlled illumination of UV light to radiate throughout the compartment. Sensors in the control box signal the timer, and a wire ribbon extending from the control box provides a connection to the external power source without significantly affecting the seal of the refrigerator door. Power is supplied to the UV light sources via a ribbon-type power cable passing from the refrigerator interior compartment to the exterior by passing between the refrigerator and the refrigerator door and over the peripheral gasket, whereby power may be supplied to said control box by connection of said male electrical plug to an electrical outlet without significantly affecting the integrity of the thermal seal.

A motor fuel providing higher gas mileage comprising gasoline produced from petroleum and from about 1 to 30 wt % of mesitylene. This fuel can advantageously contain conventional additives used in gasoline. The use of mesitylene in gasoline blend yields a fuel blend with a higher research octane number and motor octane number. In addition, an improved jet fuel is provided, having from 1-10 wt % biomass-derived mesitylene added thereto, having improved carbon emission characteristics while maintaining required specifications. Further, an improved bio-fuel is provided, which may function as a replacement for conventional Jet A/JP-8 fuel and has lowered carbon emission specifications, the bio-fuel comprised of 75-90 wt % synthetic parafinnic kerosene (SPK) and 10-25 wt % mesitylene.

An improved method for laser machining features in brittle materials 8 such as glass is presented, wherein a tool path 10 related to a feature is analyzed to determine how many passes are required to laser machine the feature using non-adjacent laser pulses 12. Laser pulses 12 applied during subsequent passes are located so as to overlap previous laser spot locations by a predetermined overlap amount. In this way no single spot receives excessive laser radiation caused by immediately subsequent laser pulses 12 being applied adjacent to a previous pulse location.
