Abstract:
A two-cylinder V-type OHV engine for outboard motors, which allows space saving in the direction of the width of the engine. A starboard side cylinder bank (RB) has a cylinder (34R) and a port side cylinder bank (LB) has a cylinder (34L). The first cylinder bank (RB) and the second cylinder bank (LB) are arranged to form a V-shape. A crankshaft (35), a single camshaft (44), and an idle gear (44) are disposed such that the crankshaft (35) drives the single camshaft (41) via the idle gear (44).
Abstract:
The present invention provides an engine holder structure for a four-cycle outboard motor such that rigidity of an assembled engine can be increased with a simple structure. In accordance with the present invention, the shaft center of a drive shaft 10 is disposed offset from the shaft center of a crankshaft 4 with an outboard motor where an engine 3, mainly composed of a crankcase 25, a cylinder block 24 and a cylinder head 23, is mounted on an upper portion of an engine holder 2, a lower portion of which an oil pan 5 is fixed to; a crankshaft 4 is disposed substantially vertically inside the engine 3; and the rotation of this crankshaft 4 is transmitted to a propulsion device via a drive shaft 10.
Abstract:
A multi-CPU device capable of automatically carrying out normal shutdown of a general purpose OS when feed of a current from a main power supply is interrupted while being significantly reduced in manufacturing cost. The multi-CPU device includes a master CPU block mounted therein with a general purpose OS, a slave CPU block mounted therein with a realtime OS, and a unit for controlling a controlled equipment based on the realtime OS. The multi-CPU device also includes a UPS provided with a realtime OS interface. The realtime OS outputs a DC current from a battery to the master CPU block and slave CPU block when the service interruption sensing circuit of the UPS senses service interruption. The realtime OS interface outputs a service interruption sensing signal to the realtime OS, so that the realtime OS which detected service interruption shuts down the general purpose OS.
Abstract:
An outboard motor includes an engine holder, an engine installed above the engine holder, an intake apparatus disposed on one side of the engine, and an electric equipment box and an exhaust apparatus both disposed on another side of the engine. The intake apparatus comprises a throttle body installed in a front portion of the engine, a silencer operatively connected to an upstream side of the throttle body, a surge tank disposed on one side of the engine, and an intake manifold operatively connected to the surge tank. The silencer extends around a front side of the engine towards the exhaust apparatus. The silencer is provided with an upstream end portion to which an intake port is formed to open rearward. The upstream end portion may be fixed to a wall portion of the electric equipment box and the upstream end portion of the silencer has a lower surface to which an intake port is formed so that it opens downward.
Abstract:
By using a memory capable of storing image data of a document size smaller than a maximum document size, images on both sides of a document of the maximum document size can be simultaneously read.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a communication device capable of providing a highly reliable service by detecting communication abnormality at a high speed. The communication device comprises a link configuring unit configuring a plurality of logical links between a opposite communication device, a segmenting unit segmenting transmission data as being associated with each of the plurality of logical links, a transmission unit transmitting the segmented data via the logical link associated with this segmented data, a receiving unit receiving the data via each of the plurality of logical links, and an abnormality detection unit judging, within a predetermined period of time since the data were received via any one of the plurality of logical links, if the data are not received via at least one of the remaining logical links, at least one logical link to be an abnormal logical link.
Abstract:
An outboard motor has a V-type engine in which in which a plurality of cylinders are arranged in a V-shape, a crankshaft is arranged substantially vertically, and an overhead valve (OHV)-type valve train is mounted. This outboard motor also includes an air intake system in which a carburetor is arranged above the engine and in a space of a V bank between the cylinders.
Abstract:
For example, a communication service controlling exchange apparatus (1) which can control a condition of a communication service to be provided includes call control memories (131-1 to 131-M) individually provided for paths between user terminals. User terminal registration information of those user terminals which can enjoy a communication service of a desired form is registered in the call control memories (131-1 to 131-M), and a communication service providing section (121) for linking the call control memories (131-1 to 131-M) with each other so that a communication service of the desired form can be provided is formed. A link changing control section (122) for changing the mutually linked condition of the pertinent ones of the call control memories (131-1 to 131-M) is provided in order to allow form changing to a communication service of a different form. Consequently. communication services of a plurality of kinds of forms can be provided by the single exchange apparatus (1).
Abstract:
An outboard motor is mounted with a multiple-cylinder engine and an intake air is distributed by an intake manifold to respective cylinders of the engine. The intake manifold is formed of synthetic resin and comprises a surge tank and a branch including a plurality of branch sections extending from the surge tank to the respective cylinders. The surge tank and the branch constitute an intake manifold body which is divided along a flow direction of the intake air flowing in the branch sections.
Abstract:
An outboard motor includes an engine holder, an engine disposed above the engine holder and the engine includes a cylinder block provided with a plurality of cylinders, a cylinder head disposed behind the cylinder block and a crankcase, a cam chain case through which said engine is mounted on the engine holder, and an exhaust apparatus operatively connected to the cylinder head. The exhaust apparatus includes an exhaust passage formed to the cam chain case, an exhaust manifold connected to the cylinder head, a water jacket formed to the exhaust manifold and another water jacket formed to the exhaust passage. The exhaust passage is formed at a portion near a central portion of the engine having most wide width in association with a lower end portion of the exhaust manifold.
