摘要： A system is capable of controlling the movements of a hand so as to ensure a further stable grasp of an object. In a state wherein an object is in contact with a plurality of finger mechanisms and a palm portion by being grasped by the hand, the load to be applied to the object from each of the plurality of finger mechanisms can be adjusted. Thus, the position of the load center on the palm portion can be displaced so as to be included in a target palm area. Further, the load to be applied to the palm portion can be adjusted so as to fall within a target load range.

An optical system configured with the traveling-direction angle conversion device and the first and second fly-eye lenses has an optical magnification which allows each of light source images to have a size not exceeding a size of the cell in the second fly-eye lens, the light source images being formed on the second fly-eye lens by the respective cells in the first fly-eye lens.

摘要： A heparin-binding growth factor (HBGF) analog having two substantially similar sequences (homodimeric sequences) branched from a single amino acid residue, where the sequences are analogs of a particular HBGF that binds to a heparin-binding growth factor receptor (HBGFR), or alternatively that bind to a HBGFR without being an analog of any particular HBGF. The homodimeric sequences may be derived from any portion of a HBGF. The synthetic HBGF analog may be an analog of a hormone, a cytokine, a lymphokine, a chemokine or an interleukin, and may bind to any HBGFR. Further provided are preparations for medical devices, pharmaceutical compositions and methods of using the same.

摘要： An optical pickup is provided which is capable of minimizing an astigmatism thereof with a simple configuration. The optical pickup includes a collimate lens for transferring optical beams outputted from a laser diode to parallel light, and an objective lens for collecting the optical beams transferred to parallel light with the collimate lens and applying the optical beams to an optical disk, wherein mounting angles of the collimate lens and the objective lens are adjusted so that astigmatisms of the collimate lens and the objective lens may be offset by each other. Thus the astigmatism of the optical pickup can be minimized with a simple configuration without need for separately providing an element for correcting aberration.

摘要： A catheter device for an optical coherence tomography apparatus is configured to enhance the resolution of the cross-sectional image in the azimuthal direction. The catheter device includes a drive shaft driven to rotate in a catheter sheath, an optical fiber in the drive shaft and driven to rotate with the drive shaft, and an optical component attached to a distal portion of the optical fiber. The catheter device emits light, transmitted in the optical fiber, into a body cavity through the optical component. A surface on the optical path of the optical component is a curved surface facing the drive shaft direction or the azimuthal direction to ensure that, when light emitted from the optical component is radiated into the body cavity via the catheter sheath, the difference between the diameter of the radiated light in the drive axis direction and the azimuthal direction is reduced.
