The image decoding apparatus includes: a block division unit which divides a current block that is to be decoded and is included in a picture of the coded video sequence, into sub-blocks; an image obtainment unit which obtains, for each of the sub-blocks, image data corresponding to the sub-block from a recording medium; a prediction unit which generates, for each of the sub-blocks, a predicted image of the sub-block, based on the image data obtained by the image obtainment unit; and a reconstruction unit which reconstructs each of the sub-blocks, by adding the predicted image generated for the sub-block to the sub-block.

    摘要: There is provided a technology which can allow a semiconductor chip formed with a nonvolatile memory to be sufficiently reduced in size. There is also provided a technology which can ensure the reliability of the nonvolatile memory. In a memory cell of the present invention, a boost gate electrode is formed over a control gate electrode via an insulating film. The boost gate electrode has the function of boosting a voltage applied to a memory gate electrode through capacitive coupling between the boost gate electrode and the memory gate electrode. That is, during a write operation or an erase operation to the memory cell, a high voltage is applied to the memory gate electrode and, to apply the high voltage to the memory gate electrode, the capacitive coupling using the boost gate electrode is subsidiarily used in the present invention.

    摘要: In connection with a semiconductor device including a capacitor element there is provided a technique capable of improving the reliability of the capacitor element. A capacitor element is formed in an element isolation region formed over a semiconductor substrate. The capacitor element includes a lower electrode and an upper electrode formed over the lower electrode through a capacitor insulating film. Basically, the lower electrode and the upper electrode are formed from polysilicon films and a cobalt silicide film formed over the surfaces of the polysilicon films. End portions of the cobalt silicide film formed over the upper electrode are spaced apart a distance from end portions of the upper electrode. Besides, end portions of the cobalt silicide film formed over the lower electrode are spaced apart a distance from boundaries between the upper electrode and the lower electrode.
