Abstract:
A cap member 4 having electrode terminals 10, 11 which are arranged in an opening 2a, and an insulating seal member 12 insert-molded between both the electrode terminals 10, 11. The electrode terminals 10, 11 are provided with ribs 14, 17, and chemically bond to the layer of an organic compound formed on the surface of the terminals 10, 11. The bottom surface of the rib 17 is placed upwardly of the bottom surface of the rib 14. The resin-molded article 12 contains therein the ribs 14 and 17 formed on both the electrode terminals 10, 11 and chemically bonds to the organic compound layers formed on the surfaces of both the electrode terminals 10, 11.
Abstract:
A pneumatic tire which comprises a carcass turned up around bead cores and a belt comprising a ply of parallel hybrid cords disposed radially outside the carcass. Each hybrid cord comprises at least one aramid strand and at least one steel strand which are twisted together. The aramid strand is made of aramid fiber filaments twisted together, and the steel strand is made of a steel monofilament.
Abstract:
A battery includes a battery case obtained by joining first and second case members; an electrode body; electrically conductive terminal members, and an insulation resin member that insulates and seals the terminal members and fixes the terminal members to the first case member. These terminal members have an inside/outside electrically conductive member, which is connected to the electrode body on the inside of the battery case and extends to the outside of the battery case, and an outside electrically conductive member, which is separate from the inside/outside electrically conductive member and is disposed outside the battery case. Moreover, the insulation resin member is formed integrally with the first case member and the inside/outside electrically conductive member.
Abstract:
A sealed battery includes a battery case formed with a liquid inlet, a power generating element contained in the battery case, and a lid member closing the liquid inlet, the peripheral edge of the lid member being welded to the battery case over the entire circumference. The battery further includes a circular groove provided in the outer surface of the battery case and around the entire periphery of the liquid inlet to face the back surface of the lid member, a peripheral portion provided over the entire periphery of a portion in the back surface of the lid member facing the liquid inlet to face the circular groove, and a protrusion partially placed around the liquid inlet between the circular groove and the peripheral portion to form a clearance between the circular groove and the peripheral portion. The space facing the inner surface in a portion melted during welding between the peripheral edge of the lid member and the battery case is continuous to the liquid inlet through a clearance formed by the protrusion between the circular groove and the peripheral portion.
Abstract:
A method for joining a resin member and a porous member can prevent peeling in a specified direction. When a thermoplastic laser transmitting resin member and a porous member are joined, the laser transmitting resin layer and the porous member are laminated, and a laser beam is emitted at a side of the laser transmitting resin member. The porous member is heated so that the laser transmitting resin member is melted, and the melted resin is impregnated with holes of the porous member. The resin is cooled so as to solidify.
Abstract:
A tire of which tread rubber comprises a conducive rubber at least partially, the conducive rubber extending from the radially inner surface of the tread rubber to the ground contacting face, and the conducive rubber compounded from 100 parts by weight of diene rubber and 2 to 30 parts by weight of conductive short fibers, the conductive short fibers formed by coating reinforcing short fibers with a conductive substance, and the conductive rubber has a volume resistance of less than 1×108 ohm cm.
Abstract:
A rubber composition for treads which contains silica and has a low electric resistance and further well-balanced characteristics such as a low rolling resistance, abrasion resistance and good wet performance can be obtained. The rubber composition comprises 40 to 90 parts by weight of silica and 5 to 40 parts by weight of diester of adipic acid based on 100 parts by weight of a diene rubber.
