摘要: A focus servo lead-in method is implemented where the focus servo loop is first in an open state. An objective lens located at a position separated by a predetermined distance from the recording surface of a disk is first moved toward the recording surface at a high velocity. At a predetermined time, the moving velocity is decreased to a lower velocity and the focus servo loop is brought to a closed state based on the level of the focus error signal obtained while the objective lens is moving at the lower velocity.

摘要: A pickup driving device for a disk player is provided, wherein the gain of a negative feedback circuit for driving a slider motor is made variable and the gain is changed correspondingly to the operation mode of a disk player, which made it possible to increase the moving speed of a slider motor in a search mode without sacrificing the stability against external disturbances.

摘要: A porous composite comprising a porous layer containing a calcium phosphate ceramic, and a dense layer formed on part of the porous layer and having a smaller average pore size than that of the porous layer. The porous composite can be produced by (1) introducing a slurry containing a calcium phosphate ceramic/collagen composite and collagen into a molding die having a high thermal conductivity, (2) rapidly freezing and drying the slurry in the molding die, to form a porous body comprising a porous layer and a dense layer formed on the porous layer, (3) cross-linking collagen in the porous body, and (4) removing the dense layer except for a portion thereof on a surface coming into contact with a soft tissue when implanted in a human body, so that the porous layer is exposed.

摘要: A thermal printer that forms an image on a sheet. The thermal printer includes a thermal head having a plurality of linearly arranged thermal elements, a device for converting image information into bit-map image data, and a device for storing the bit-map image data. A predetermined portion of the stored bit-map image data is transmitted to the thermal head, and a remaining amount of the stored bit-map image data which has not been transmitted to the thermal head is detected. A time interval between a transmission of the predetermined portion of the stored bit-map image data and a subsequent transmission of the predetermined portion of the stored bit-map image data is set, in response to the detected remaining amount of the stored bit-map image data.
