Abstract: An object detection method and apparatus for a vehicle in a confined space are provided. An object detection method for a vehicle traveling in a confined space, includes determining a first beam pattern and a second beam pattern based on geometric information of the confined space, detecting first candidate objects based on a first transmission signal emitted to form the first beam pattern using at least one antenna, detecting second candidate objects based on a second transmission signal emitted to form the second beam pattern using the at least one antenna, detecting at least one clutter object based on the first candidate objects and the second candidate objects, and detecting a target object based on the at least one clutter object.

Abstract: A control apparatus includes a Wi-Fi communication module, a processor, a controller that controls a component of a vehicle, and a memory, wherein the memory stores at least one piece of position information corresponding to a position in the vehicle, and at least one registered pattern of a gesture, face, or shape, the Wi-Fi communication module transmits a transmission signal to the position corresponding to the at least one piece of position information by a Wi-Fi communication method at a preset frequency and receives a reflection signal reflected from an object in response to the transmission signal, the processor acquires an input pattern of a gesture, face, or shape of the object by analyzing the reflection signal, and retrieves a registered pattern matching the input pattern from the at least one registered pattern, and the controller controls the component according to an instruction corresponding to the retrieved registered pattern.

The distance measuring apparatus emits a transmission signal while changing a frequency over time, receives a reception signal from an object in response to the transmission signal being reflected from the object, samples a beat frequency indicating a difference between a frequency of the transmission signal and a frequency of the reception signal in a sampling range that changes based on the beat frequency, and determines a distance to the object based on the sampling.

Abstract: A radar signal processing method includes: extracting a first chirp sequence signal of a first carrier frequency and a second chirp sequence signal of a second carrier frequency from a radar signal received through an array antenna in a radar sensor; generating a first range-Doppler map by performing frequency conversion on the first chirp sequence signal; detecting a first target cell corresponding to a first target in the first range-Doppler map; determining a first ambiguous Doppler velocity of the first target based on first frequency information of the first target cell; determining a first range of an unambiguously measurable Doppler velocity through the first chirp sequence signal; estimating second ambiguous Doppler velocities based on the first ambiguous Doppler velocity and the first range; and determining a Doppler velocity of the first target by performing partial frequency conversion on the second chirp sequence signal based on the second ambiguous Doppler velocities.

The method of training a radar resolution increase model comprises generating a high-resolution training ground truth and a low-resolution training input from original raw radar data based on information corresponding to at least one of dimensions defining the original raw radar data, and training the resolution increase model based on the high-resolution training ground truth and the low-resolution training input. A radar data processing device generates high-resolution output data from low-resolution input data based on a trained resolution increase model.
