Abstract:
A first side cover of a dual bearing reel is fastened by threadedly coupling screws from the inner side of a first side plate to a plurality of cylindrical portions that are attached to the inner surface of the first side cover. Alumite is formed on the aluminum alloy-made first side cover. A fine triazine thiol powder is diffused on the inner surface of the first side cover by an electrodeposition plating process such that an electrodeposition layer is formed thereon. The cylindrical portions are attached to the inner surface of the first side cover by inserting at least a portion of the first side cover into a die and outsert or insert-molding the cylindrical portions to the electrodeposition layer. It is possible to control increases in the cost of a decorative member, control the exposure of attachment portions, and provide an expensive appearance to the decorative member.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a bicycle brake arm 1 used in a brake caliper apparatus. The brake arm 1 mounted to a bicycle frame F for pivotal movement about an axis X. A brake shoe mounting bracket 4 is likewise coupled to the bicycle frame F for pivotal movement about the axis X. In one embodiment, the brake arm 1 is formed with an arcuate recess 12 whose arcuate center coincides with the axis X. The brake shoe mounting bracket 4 has a first portion 4a formed with an arcuate contour, conforming to the contour of the recess 12, and the first portion 4a is slidably disposed within the recess 12. A bolt 9 extends through an elongated arcuate screw hole 8 formed in the first portion 4a and an aperture 4g formed in the brake arm 1. A brake shoe 5 is mounted to a position adjusting mechanism formed on the second portion 4b of the bracket 4. Loosening of the bolt 9 allows for easy adjustment of the clearance between the brake shoe 5 and a bicycle tire rim 6 independent of position adjustments of the shoe via the position adjusting mechanism formed on the second portion 4b of the bracket 4.
Abstract:
Stereo audio signals of right and left channels are inputted to a stereo surround system. The stereo surround system is provided with: a right side speaker group including at least two speakers arranged vertically; and a left side speaker group arranged at a left side of the right side speaker group, and including at least two speakers arranged vertically. The stereo surround system is further provided with a process device, coupled to the right side speaker group and the left side speaker group, for processing the inputted stereo audio signal of the right channel to generate at least two kinds of the surround signals to the right side speaker group, and for processing the inputted stereo audio signal of the left channel to generate at least two kinds of the surround signals to the left side speaker group.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a packing can having a circumferential polyhedral wall formed on a can barrel, in which as compared with boundary ridgelines of structural unit faces of the polyhedral wall and crossing points of these boundary ridgelines, the structural unit faces are convex to the interior of the can and the structural unit faces are arranged so that adjacent rows of structural unit faces have a phase difference in the axial direction of the can. This packing can has a very high strength against deformation by application of the external pressure. Furthermore, in preparing this packing can, damage of a coating layer formed on a metal sheet used as the can barrel blank can be effectively prevented.
Abstract:
A novel adsorbent for ethylene prepared by contacting an active carbon with at least one metal substance selected from the group consisting of copper, iron, cobalt, nickel, and their salts in the presence of nitric acid; heating the same at a temperature of 150.degree. to 900.degree. C. in an atmosphere of inert gas and thereby to obtain the adsorbent containing 0.01 to 20% by weight of said metal(s) therein.
Abstract:
An Escherichia bacterium (1) which harbors dihydrodipicolinate synthase of which feedback inhibition by L-lysine is desensitized and aspartokinase of which feedback inhibition by L-lysine is desensitized, (2) in which intracellular activity of dihydrodipicolinate reductase is enhanced, and (3) in which a diaminopimelate dehydrogenase gene is introduced or intracellular activities of tetrahydrodipicolinate succinylase and succinyl diaminopimelate deacylase are enhanced, wherein intracellular activity of aspartate-semialdehyde dehydrogenase or phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase is enhanced, is cultured in a suitable medium to produce and accumulate L-lysine in culture, and the L-lysine is collected from the culture.

In the present application are disclosed a method for enhancing or improving the flavor of foods or drinks in general with the use of a non-volatile thiazolidine compound alone or a non-volatile flavor compound and/or a reaction flavor concurrently with the non-volatile thiazolidine compound, a simple and effective method for improving the flavor of a retort food by suppressing the flavor-deterioration upon heat sterilization or the unpleasant odor at the time of eating, and a simple and effective method for improving the flavor of a soybean-incorporated food product by suppressing the unpleasant, weed-like odor peculiar to soybean.
Abstract:
An aqueous solution containing a fluorine-containing emulsifier in a low concentration of at least 1 ppm by mass and at most 1% by mass (e.g., coagulation waste water after an emulsion polymerization of a fluoropolymer and/or an aqueous solution obtained by washing with an aqueous solution a waste gas from a drying process and/or a heat treating process of the fluoropolymer) is subjected to vacuum concentration under a pressure of at most 100 kPa and a temperature of the aqueous solution of at most 100° C. by means of a heating tube surface evaporation type concentrator equipped with a heat pump or the like, and the fluorine-containing emulsifier is recovered from a highly concentrated aqueous solution containing the fluorine-containing emulsifier in a higher concentration of at least 5% by mass. According to the present method, the fluorine-containing emulsifier can be recovered with a high yield from a low-concentration liquid such as coagulation waste water of a fluoropolymer.
Abstract:
Food containing γ-glutamylcysteine or cysteine is produced by culturing Candida utilis containing 1% by weight or more of γ-glutamylcysteine per dry cells in logarithmic growth phase when cultured in a minimal medium, for example, Candida utilis in which a gene encoding glutathione synthetase is modified so that intracellular glutathione synthetase activity is reduced, under a suitable condition and mixing the obtained culture or a fraction thereof or the culture or a fraction thereof subjected to heat treatment with a raw material of food or drink to process food or drink.
