    摘要: A metal vessel has a metal bottomed cup-shaped lower member and a metal cup-shaped upper member, the upper and lower members being bonded together by a circumferential side seam. The upper member has a pouring mouth having a small diameter in the central portion thereof. The metal vessel is formed by lap-bonding the circumferential open ends of both the upper and lower members. The side wall of the upper member is formed by subjecting a primer-coated tin-plated steel sheet to draw forming at a side wall plastic forming ratio R of from 1.1 to 1.8; the side wall plastic forming ratio R being defined by the following formula: ##EQU1## wherein W stands for the weight (g) of the blank of the upper member, t stands for the thickness (cm) of the blank of the upper member at the side wall, .rho. stands for the density (g/cm.sup.3) of the blank of the upper member, D.sub.0 stands for the inner diameter (cm) of pouring mouth of the upper member, and D.sub.1 stands for the average inner diameter (cm) of the side wall.In the circumferential bonded portion, the side wall of the lower member is bonded to the side wall of the upper member through an organic adhesive interposed between a primer coating applied to the side wall of the lower member and a primer coating applied to the side wall of the upper member. The bonding strength and resistance to leakage of the lap-bonded circumferential side seam are improved.

    摘要: The present invention provides a redrawing method which comprises holding a preliminarily drawn cup of a covered metal sheet by an annular holding member inserted in the cup and a redrawing die, and relatively moving the redrawing die and a redrawing punch arranged coaxially with the holding member and redrawing cup, said drawing punch being capable of going into the holding member and coming out from the holding member, so that the redrawing die and redrawing punch are engaged with each other, to form a deep-drawn cup having a diameter smaller than that of the preliminarily drawn cup. This redrawing method is prominently characterized in that the radius of curvature of the operating corner portion of the redrawing die is 1 to 2.9 times as large as the bare sheet thickness of the metal sheet. According to this redrawing method, the thickness is effectively reduced by bending and elongating of the side wall, and the variation of the thickness between the upper and lower portions of the side wall is eliminated and the thickness is uniformly reduced as a whole.

    摘要: Disclosed is a process for the preparation of a thickness-reduced deep-draw-formed can, which comprises the steps of (i) coating a crystalline thermoplastic resin on a metal plate, (ii) heating the coated metal plate at a temperature higher than the glass transition point (Tg) of the thermoplastic resin and draw-forming the coated metal plated, and (iii) heating the obtained preliminarily drawn cup at a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the thermoplastic resin and redrawing the cup at a bend-pulling speed of at least 1 m/min. According to this process, damage of the coating layer can be drastically moderated, and a deep-draw-formed can having prominently improved corrosion resistance and heat resistance can be obtained.

According to this process, since digital coordinate conversion is performed while compensating anisotropy of the elongation of the metal blank, an improved printing precision can be obtained in a draw-formed body.

In this can, at least the inner surface organic coating is composed of a crystalline thermoplastic resin, the thickness of the barrel wall is made smaller than the thickness of the bottom, the thermoplastic resin of the barrel wall is molecularly oriented mainly in the axial direction, and the roughness of the metal surface of the barrel wall is larger than that of the metal surface of the bottom. Since the organic coating is crystalline and is molecularly oriented, the coating can resist processing deformation when the thickness is reduced by deep-draw forming and the coating is not damaged by a tool or the like at all, and therefore, the barrier property to corrosive components and the heat resistance are prominently improved.
