    摘要: A process for producing 1,3-bis(3-aminophenoxy)-benzenes which are very useful as a monomer for heat-resistant high molecular weight polymers is provided, which process comprises dehalogenating a bis(3-aminophenoxy)-halogenobenzene by its reduction, which compound is selected from the group consisting of 1,3-bis(3-aminophenoxy)-5-halogenobenzenes, 1,3-bis(3-aminophenoxy)-2,4-dihalogenobenzenes and 1,5-bis(3-aminophenoxy)-2,4-dihalogenobenzenes, these raw material compounds being respectively obtained by reacting a 1,3,5-trihalogenobenzene, a 1,2,3,4-tetrahalogenobenzene or a 1,2,4,5-tetrahalogenobenzene with 3-aminophenol in the presence of a dehydrohalogenating agent.

    摘要: A poly(thio)ester (co)polymer which comprises a repeating structural unit represented by the formula (1-A) as an essential structural unit: [wherein R11 is a divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may contain at least one sulfur atom in a sulfide group; R12 is a mono- or poly-cyclic aliphatic or aromatic dicarboxylic acid residue; and X11 and X12 are each independently an oxygen atom or sulfur atom, and when X11 and X12 are the oxygen atoms, R11 is a divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group containing at least one sulfur atom in the sulfide group]; and an optical component obtainable by molding the poly(thio)ester (co)polymer. The poly(thio)ester (co)polymer is excellent in transparency and optical characteristics (e.g., a higher refractive index, higher Abbe number, and lower birefringence), and has also good mechanical characteristics and thermal characteristics, and further is excellent in melt fluidity and injection moldability.

    摘要: This invention provides sulfur-containing (meth)acrylic ester compounds each of which is represented by the following formula (1); wherein R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group or may be fused together to form a ring, R3 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, X1 represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, m stands for an integer of from 0 to 3, and n stands for an integer of from 1 to 4, polymerizable compositions comprising the sulfur-containing (meth)acrylic acids, and cured products and optical parts obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable compositions. The sulfur-containing (meth)acrylic ester compounds according to the present invention are very useful, as monomers for photocurable, polymerizable compositions, in applications such as optical materials and dental materials. The optical parts obtained by curing the polymerizable compositions are excellent in optical properties, thermal properties and mechanical properties and are also good in productivity.
