摘要: Objects of the present invention are to provide an inverter apparatus in which the specification thereof can be readily changed without changing an inverter basic unit, and to provide an inverter apparatus in which an inverter basic unit and an I/O block unit can be readily separated and the number of degrees of freedom of installation can be increased. An inverter apparatus of the present invention is constituted by an inverter basic unit and an I/O block unit which is connected to the inverter basic unit separately therefrom. The inverter basic unit is constituted by a power module which includes a DC/AC converter and a controller including a microcomputer for managing the DC/AC converter. The I/O block unit is constructed in the form of an I/O block unit which includes an input/output interface unit having signal connection terminals. Since the plurality kinds of I/O block units can be connected to the inverter basic unit and also the software of the microcomputer can be changed with the microcomputer mounted on the associated substrate, the specification and the performance of the inverter apparatus can be readily changed.

摘要: Character recognition method and system in which a character indicated in a printed, stamped, carved or other form is two-dimensionally imaged and stored as image data and the stored image data is subjected to an image processing to recognize the character. The recognition of the character is performed in such a manner that each time the comparison of plural kinds of feature vectors extracted from the character to be recognized and a dictionary vector of each candidate character in a group of candidate characters preliminarily prepared is made for one of the plural kinds of feature vectors, a candidate character having its dictionary vector away from the extracted feature vector by a distance not smaller than a predetermined value is excluded from the candidate character group. The dictionary vector for each candidate character is defined as an average vector for a variety of fonts. A difference between the dictionary vector and the feature vector extracted from the character to be recognized is estimated by virtue of a deviation vector for the variety of fonts to produce an estimated value. The exclusion from the candidate character group is judged on the basis of the estimated values each of which is cumulatively produced each time the estimation for the difference is made.

摘要: An automatic welding method and an automatic welder in which welding conditions are automatically set in compliance with the position or posture of a welding torch relative to a work piece and the welding path. The direction of gravity is added as one of parameters necessary for automatic setting of the welding conditions and the welding condtions are controlled to comply with changes in the welding torch position relative to the gravitational direction and the welding path, thereby ensuring that the automatic welder can be realized which can be installed to face to any directions and that work pieces having various profiled and welding paths can be welded automatically with high quality.

摘要: A welding expectation path is taught beforehand, and an operation for striking an electric arc is executed at a point on the path. If the electric arc does not appear, the operation for striking the electric arc is executed at a different point on the path. When the electric arc has appeared, a welding torch is once returned to a welding start expectation point while the electric arc is held, and it performs welding from the welding start expectation point toward a welding end expectation point.

摘要: When actuating again an induction motor rotating inertially by applying power to the induction motor from an inverter capable of changing both of its output frequency and output voltage, the power is once supplied to the induction motor to increase the residual voltage if the residual voltage of the induction motor is not sufficient, and the frequency of an initial impressed voltage that is in agreement with the rotating speed of the induction motor is determined.

摘要: A memory system has a first memory such as a magnetic bubble memory and a second memory such as a RAM having a faster access time than the first memory. The first memory is divided into a plurality of blocks each of which has program steps stored therein. The second memory has a plurality of unit chains which correspond to the blocks of the first memory respectively and in each of which step information representative of the number of steps stored in the corresponding block and pointer information indicative of a connection to a next block are stored. The step information in the unit chains are successively read in accordance with predetermined start block information and the pointer information to count the total number of steps on the basis of the read step information. From the first memory is read information in the block corresponding to the unit chain of the second memory with respect to which the counting is made when the counted number of steps reaches or exceeds a program step number to be detected.
