A second endplate is provided with a plurality of protrusions for attaching to a second adjacent vertebrae and an extension portion extending towards the first adjacent vertebrae. A flexible member having an upper portion and a lower portion and a slider plate positioned within the upper portion of the flexible member is also provided. The extension portion of the first endplate is adapted to fit within a first cavity in the upper portion of the flexible member and the extension portion of the second endplate is adapted to fit within a second cavity in the lower portion of the flexible member.

Each of the first opening and the second opening are in fluid communication with the curved bore. A flexible anchoring member is configured to be inserted through the side opening and through the curved bore of the spacer member such that a distal end portion of the flexible anchoring member extends out of the second opening at an angle relative to the one of the top wall and the bottom wall of the spacer member.

摘要： An assembly tool for assembly of a first component of a prosthesis to a second component of the prosthesis for use in joint arthroplasty is provided. The tool includes a first member in contact with the first component and a second member connected to the second component. The first member defines a first member longitudinal axis. The first member and the second member provide for the assembly of the first component of the prosthesis to the second component of the prosthesis. The second member provides relative motion of the second member with respect to the first member when the second member is rotated relative to the first member about the first member longitudinal axis. The first member and the second member have relative motion features adapted to reduce friction that cooperate with each other to provide the relative motion of the first member with respect to the second member.

Also provided is an orthopaedic implant with an articulating component and a body component connected to the articulating component. The articulating component has an articulating surface and an interface surface opposed to the articulating surface. The body component has a first surface connected to the interface surface, a second surface opposed to the first surface and at least one protrusion that extends away from the second surface.

The glenoid component includes a body having a first articulating surface and a second medial surface opposite to the first articulating surface. The first articulating surface is adapted to engage with a humeral head. A plurality of removable fixed pegs each have a first end adapted to engage a cavity formed in the scapula and a second end extending from the medial surface. A central peg fixation mechanism is provided that is configured to couple an optional central fixation peg to the medial surface.
