    摘要: The invention is directed to a method for producing a novel flexographic printing sleeve which is readily axially mountable on and dismountable from a complementary shaped printing cylinder. The subject method comprises providing an apparatus for receiving a sprayed curable polymeric material and for forming the flexographic printing sleeve. Then, the curable polymeric material is sprayed onto the apparatus and a flexographic printing sleeve is formed. The sleeve has a substantially unitary, non-laminated construction which is self-supporting. The cross-sectional inner and outer diameter of the flexographic printing sleeve is expandable by introducing a relatively low pressure fluid between the inner surface of the printing body sleeve and the outer cylindrically-shaped wall of the printing cylinder. The flexographic printing sleeve is contractible from its expanded position by releasing the low pressure fluid. The structural integrity of the flexographic printing sleeve is resistant to substantial damage or distortion.

The printing sleeve also comprises a layer of compressible material mounted to the base sleeve, a layer of foamed spacer material, and an outer tube mounted over the layer of foamed spacer material. Further, an engravable layer is typically applied to the exterior of the outer tube.

    摘要: A flexible thinwalled sleeve for gravure printing is provided, which, going from inside to outside, essentially consists of(1) a slightly conical layer of nickel to provide mechanical strength,(2) a layer of copper, having the structure of high-gloss copper and which is essentially free of internal stresses, said layer having a cylindrical outer surface,(3) a thin, cylindrical layer of hard copper having a structure suitable for electronic engraving and having a gravure pattern on its outer surface, and if desired,(4) a thin protective layer of chrome.These layers are all firmly adhered to each other and especially the two layers of copper cannot be separated by peeling off. Since a high-gloss copper layer, which is free of internal stresses, has been found unsuitable for electronic engraving, and since the layer of hard copper, suitable for electronic engraving, has been found to have internal stresses, which would be unacceptable in the first layer of copper, the two layers must necessarily be different.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing of a tool for production of synthetic image devices comprises cutting (210) a surface structured plate, giving a respective first and second edge. The plate has geometrical structures—microimages or focusing elements—in a first surface. Cells comprising the geometrical structures have a predetermined period in a first direction. The first edge is brought (212) to face the second edge in a close proximity. The first direction of a first area of the plate adjacent to the first edge is positioned with a predetermined angle with respect to the first direction of a second area of the plate adjacent to the second edge. A relative translation in said same plane between the first edge and the second edge is adapted (214) for bringing a first cell border in the first area to a predetermined distance, relative a corresponding second cell border in the second area. The first and second edges are mutually fixated (216) and mounted (218) onto a cylindrical support. A tool for manufacturing of synthetic image devices is also disclosed.
