Abstract:
The problem of the lag time in picking and dropping mixed load products during a palletization process is solved by using a tool having i) a gripping member that can be partially closed in a first fast movement while it is moved by a robot towards a product and then closed onto the product in a second shorter movement and ii) a product abutting plate that is movable in unison with the tool in opposite direction thereof as the tool is moved by a robot towards and away the mixed load pallet.
Abstract:
Disclosed are various embodiments for a containerized shipping trailer and an automated module moving apparatus. A containerized shipping trailer may comprise a shipping container having a plurality of compartments configured to store a plurality of modules in an interior of the shipping container. An automated module moving apparatus may comprise a body configured to move horizontally along a rail from a first position to a second position to insert at least one projection into a portal of a module located in a compartment of the shipping container. The module may be removed and placed at a predefined location.
Abstract:
Computer program products, methods, systems, apparatus, and computing entities are provided for automated loading and retrieval of items. In various embodiments, items are received at a loading station where identification data may be captured for each item and handling instructions may be generated. In some embodiments, a label having indicia associated with the item may be generated and affixed to the item. The items may then be deposited through an access door into the vehicle identified in the handling instructions. Once the items are loaded into the access door, an automated load/unload device may deposit the item in the appropriate storage location. The automated load/unload device may also retrieve and rearrange items as desired.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a chain link, a chain conveyor, a filling machine, and a package-flap folding method. The chain conveyor comprises a hinge part and a support part; the support part is fastened with a blade for clamping and pushing a package; the blade divides the support part into a rectangular front support part and a rear support part; multiple chain links can be hinged to form an annular chain, and the distance between the blades of two neighboring chain links in a straight line segment equals to the width of the package; the length of the support surface of the front support part equals to or is slightly smaller than the distance between an flap at the end to the rear side surface of the package; the rear end surface of the rear support part forms the guiding surface for guiding the folding of the flap at the end.
Abstract:
A sortation conveyor has a divert guide path which is configured to guide pushers to engage articles disposed on an endless conveying surface at an initial impact which does not result in an out of control situation even at high speeds. The divert guide path is disposed at a plurality of divert angles, and guides pushers to engage articles at a low initial contact divert angle and first lateral speed and to accelerate the articles to a final divert angle and second, higher, lateral speed. The pushers may be undergoing lateral acceleration at the time initial contact is made with the articles.
Abstract:
A method for forming a pack sequence, particularly packs of one or a plurality of articles, particularly beverage articles, including a sequence forming device, with a pack storing device for storing packs being connected to the sequence forming device via at least one transport path, the method including: transporting a pack along the at least one transport path from the pack storing device to the sequence forming device, wherein the transport of the pack is controlled such that the pack is introduced into the sequence forming device at a predetermined time.
Abstract:
The present invention aims at preventing sanitary tissue paper from being torn when it is removed. The purpose is accomplished by sanitary tissue paper of single-ply or double-plies, characterized in that said paper has a lateral tensile strength on a dry condition of 32 N/m or more, a longitudinal tensile strength on a wet condition 32 N/m or more, and a longitudinal tensile strength on a dry condition which is 2.5 to 3.5 times higher than the lateral tensile strength on a dry condition.
Abstract:
A unit for grouping packages along a transfer path includes an input station receiving the packages arranged in longitudinal lines parallel to the transfer path; an output station for groups defined by a given number of packages from respective longitudinal lines and aligned in at least one line crosswise to the transfer path; a movable conveying surface, which is fed at predetermined time intervals with a number of packages equal to that of each group, and feeds the packages along the transfer path; and at least one movable member, which is fed cyclically along an operating path having at least one portion parallel to the transfer path, and has an aligning surface, against which, at each cycle, the packages in each group upstream from the movable member come to rest and are aligned in at least one line crosswise to the transfer path; the movable member also has a push surface which, at each cycle, acts on each group of packages downstream from the movable member to push the group out of the unit.
