Abstract:
The isocyanate polyoxyalkylenes having the formula:OCN--(AO).sub.x --(BO).sub.y --(CO).sub.z --DE I.wherein E is --NCO or an amino group; A, C and D represent lower alkylene of 2 to 4 carbon atoms; B is alkylene of 2 to 8 carbon atoms; y and z are each integers having a value of 0 to 50 and x is an integer having a value of from 2 to 50, and intermixtures of said polyoxyalkylenes. The above compounds display a wide variety of uses, namely for the control of fungi and bacteria or for the prevention of such infestation. They are also useful dielectric constant depressors for polymeric substances, e.g. polyvinylchloride, polyvinylidene halides, etc., extenders for solids in latices and anti-static agents.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Long chain-perfluoroalkylene ether bibenzoxazole polymers are synthesized by the polycondensation of long chain-perfluoroalkylene ether bis(o-aminophenol) compounds and perfluoroalkylene ether diimidate esters. The elastomeric polymers have a combination of high thermooxidative stability and superior low temperature visco-elastic properties that render them particularly useful for wide temperature range applications, such as seals, sealants and the like.

1,134,132. Coatings. MINNESOTA MINING & MFG. CO. 23 Feb., 1966 [14 Oct., 1965], No. 802S/66. Headings B2E and B2K. [Also in Division C3] Materials such as leather, concrete, wood, metals, plastics, rubbers, and textiles may be coated or treated with polishes, paints, coatings and finishes containing vulcanizates comprising polyether polyprimary polyamine/ epoxy resin formulations. The resins may be applied with or without filler materials, e.g. silica, carbon talc and titanium dioxide. The polyether polyamine has a molecular weight of at least 3500 and is prepared by the interaction of tetrahydrofuran and up to 40 mol percent of another cationically polymerizable cyclic ether or thioether in the presence of trifluoromethane-sulphonic anhydride at from - 40 to 80‹C in a polymerization system which is relatively free of monoalkylatable chain terminating agents and reacting the resultant dicationically active polyether with ammonia. Coatings applied on various substrates, including poly (chlorotrifluoroethylene) plastic, an elastomeric copolymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene and vinylidene fluoride and an elastomeric copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropane, adhered tenaciously, especially after curing at 121‹C.
Abstract:
The invention relates to polyethers, polyamines, and polythioethers, as well as to processes for synthesizing them, e.g., using olefins as starting material.
Abstract:
Implementations described herein relate to an etheramine mixture containing a cyclobutane based amine and its method of production by alkoxylating an initiator with an alkylene oxide to produce a precursor polyol and reductively aminating the precursor polyol to form the ehteramine mixture. The etheramine mixture may be used in a variety of applications including as a curing agent for an epoxy resin or as a reactant in the production of polyurea materials.
Abstract:
A method for preparing multi-arm poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) chlorides from multi-arm PEG polyols is described. The method comprises a process, wherein the multi-arm PEG polyol is reacted with thionyl chloride to form the multi-arm PEG chloride.
Abstract:
