Abstract:
The invention provides a pump comprising a pump inlet, a pump outlet, at least two threaded rotors and a pressure controlled valve, the pressure controlled valve being capable of controlling re-circulation of fluid from the pump outlet to the pump inlet. The pressure controlled valve can be a control valve. The invention also provides a multiple stage pump assembly comprising at least two pumps arranged in series, wherein at least one of the pumps is the aforementioned pump.
Abstract:
Provided is a horizontal step scroll compressor with which liquid compression can be effectively prevented even when starting up from a liquid migration state in which liquid refrigerant has migrated into the compressor while operation of the compressor is stopped. In this horizontal step scroll compressor, bypass ports, which divert pressure into a discharge chamber when the pressure in a pair of compression chambers reaches or exceeds a set pressure at an intermediate compression position between a suction cutoff position and the position communicating with a discharge port, are provided along the spiral direction of spiral wraps. Among these bypass ports, the opening area of the bypass ports that open into the first compression chamber, which includes the step parts in the gravity direction when a step part and a step part, and a step part and a step part, begin to engage each other, is greater than the opening area of the bypass port, which opens to the second compression chamber forming a pair with the first compression chamber.

Abstract:
The invention relates to an assembly comprising a vacuum pump and a chamber, wherein a suction tract extends between the chamber and the vacuum pump. The vacuum pump is a liquid ring machine. According to the invention, a liquid outlet is arranged in the suction tract in order to add liquid to gas sucked in from the chamber. The invention further relates to a method for evacuating a chamber filled with vapor. According to the invention, the vapor is condensed by introducing additional liquid into the suction tract, thus by co-condensation. By supplying liquid selectively only when liquid is required for the condensation of the vapor, water is saved.
Abstract:
In a gas compressor, an outline shape of an inner peripheral surface (41) of a cylinder (40) is set such that in a point before a compression chamber (43B) adjacent to a compression chamber (43A) in the upstream side in the rotational direction (W) is exposed to a discharge hole (45b) of a primary discharge portion (45) with rotation of a rotor (50) in the rotational direction (W) (point where the compression chamber (43B) is positioned upstream of an angular position of being exposed to the discharge hole (45b) of the primary discharge portion (45)), a pressure of the refrigerant gas (G) inside the compression chamber (43) reaches a discharge pressure. Therefore the discharge hole (45b) of the primary discharge portion (45) always discharges a refrigerant gas (G) from the compression chamber (43) to prevent generation of the discharge pulsation.
Abstract:
In a scroll compressor, a pass hole is formed at a position overlapping with a discharge sector of a discharge hole, where a sector for passing a refrigerant through the pass hole is overlapped with a sector for discharging the refrigerant through a discharge hole. This may prevent over-compression of a refrigerant when the scroll compressor is driven at a low speed. This may enhance efficiency of the scroll compressor in a low speed driving mode and under a low load condition.
Abstract:
A single screw compressor structure includes a screw rotor and a casing. The screw rotor has a plurality of helical grooves formed in an outer peripheral surface thereof. The casing houses the screw rotor. The screw rotor includes a main tapered portion having a tapered outer diameter that becomes larger from an intake side toward a discharge side of the screw rotor, and a reversely tapered portion that is located on a downstream side of a maximum outer diameter portion of the outer surface and on the discharge side of the main tapered portion. The reversely tapered portion has a reversely tapered outer diameter that becomes smaller as the reversely tapered portion extends away from the maximum outer diameter portion.

Abstract:
A mode changing apparatus for a scroll compressor is provided that may include a low-pressure passage that communicates with a suction side formed by an orbiting motion of an orbiting scroll, an intermediate-pressure passage that communicates with an intermediate-pressure side formed by the orbiting motion of the orbiting scroll, a block assembly mounted at the fixed scroll and having a connection channel that connects the low-pressure passage and the intermediate-pressure passage, a switching device disposed at the block assembly that opens/closes the connection channel, and a pressure supply device that selectively applies, to the block assembly, a discharge gas pressure discharged from the fixed and orbiting scrolls and a suction gas pressure sucked into the fixed and orbiting scrolls, to thereby operate the switching device. With such a simplified structure, the gas compression capacity of a scroll compressor may be varied, enhancing energy efficiency of a system.
