Abstract:
A liquid barrier system for protecting selected areas of flooring from liquid flow. The liquid barrier system includes a pair of end assemblies adapted for abutting a surface of a floor, and an elongate barrier assembly having two ends, each one of the barrier assembly ends being coupled to an associated one of the end assemblies.
Abstract:
A device for cleaning and re-conditioning the nap of a paint roller includes a circular collar with a plurality of resilient fingers. The fingers define a circular opening through which a paint roller is inserted. During back and forth movements of the device the resilient fingers penetrate the nap of the paint roller to remove excess paint while at the same time lifting and reconditioning the roller nap.
Abstract:
A paint apparatus is disclosed having a plurality of trays for use with a paint roller. A paint reservoir within each tray retains the paint. A grid portion is integrally formed in a lower surface of the paint apparatus, and has a plurality of channels and/or projections. The channels are curved, thereby providing increased surface area for the paint roller. The paint apparatus is also included in a kit containing paint application devices, practice paper, and instructional materials. The paint apparatus is further provided with a metering system which includes a plurality of grids and a mesh structure. The stackable grids are placed within the paint reservoir and permit the paint to wick up to a top surface of the stackable grids. During use of the apparatus, a user fills the paint reservoir with paint to a point below the top surface of the stackable grids. The user the rolls the rolling device over the grids, thereby loading the nap portion with paint. As a result, a roller is loaded with an appropriate amount of paint for painting on a wall surface. Another metering device provided is a metering mesh which is secured over the paint reservoir.
Abstract:
A stamp pad having a hinge plate between a body and a lid of the stamp pad. The hinge plate allows the lid to be rotated underneath the body of the stamp pad when the lid is in an open position. The hinge plate can be made of a flexible material to make installation of the lid easier and to reduce the likelihood of damaging the lid or the body after the hinge plate is installed.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for creating a combinatorial coating library including a coating system operatively coupled to at least one of a plurality of materials suitable for forming at least one coating layer on a surface of one or more substrates and a curing system operative to apply at least one of a plurality of curing environments to each of a plurality of regions associated with the at least one coating layer. The curing system including a scanning mirror system having a mirrored surface positionable relative to an incoming radiation beam, wherein the mirrored surface is positionable to direct the incoming radiation beam to a selected one of the plurality of regions associated with the coating layer. The combinatorial coating library comprising a predetermined combination of at least one of the plurality of materials and at least one of the plurality of curing environments associated with each of the plurality of regions.
Abstract:
Prior to transfer of an wafer W, a mixed gas is being generated and exhausted, thereby fluctuation of concentration and temperature of a solvent component at the beginning of gas introduction into a chamber 3 is suppressed. A step of gelling after the wafer W is carried into an aging unit is divided into several steps. Until a temperature of the wafer W reaches a predetermined treatment temperature, an average concentration of the solvent component in a mixed gas is gradually raised relative to the temperature of the wafer W. Thereby, immediately after the wafer W is transferred into a sealed chamber, the gas of the solvent component is prevented from condensing.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus for protecting the walls of a row of cylinders of an engine block from contamination when the walls of the other row of cylinders of the engine block are thermally coated. For this purpose, the apparatus comprises a plurality of inflatable hollow body members that can be moved into the interior of the cylinders whose walls are to be protected and inflated once they are in position in the interior of the particular cylinders. The hollow body members comprise a dimensionally stable inner sleeve member that is enclosed by an inflatable elastic envelope member. The inflatable hollow body members are arranged in two groups located opposite to each other.
Abstract:
A substrate processing apparatus forms a thin film of high-dielectric or ferroelectric such as barium/strontium titanates, or a copper film for wiring on a substrate, and has a gas ejection head for individually introducing at least two gases including a material gas and ejecting the gases toward a substrate to be processed. The gas ejection head has at least two gas passageways for individually introducing the two gases, and at least two temperature control devices for individually controlling temperatures of the gases flowing through the gas passageways.

Abstract:
A machine for automatically applying lane dressing travels up and down the lane to apply dressing according to a certain predetermined and preselected pattern. A single dispensing head travels back and forth across the lane as the machine moves linearly along the lane so that dressing is transferred to a buffer brush that engages the lane surface and applies the dressing thereto. The oil pattern is determined by actuation and deactuation of the dispensing head as it traverses the lane, such control of the head being provided by a special pattern control device in the nature of a cylindrical pattern tube that extends alongside the path of travel of the dispensing head. A sensor on the dispensing head detects pattern structure on the control device to responsively actuate and deactuate the head. In a preferred form, such structure takes the form of a series of metallic strips extending parallel to the path of travel of the dispensing head and spaced circumferentially around the periphery of the pattern tube. The sensor on the dispensing head is in the form of a proximity sensor that responds to the presence and absence of such metallic strips. At the end of each traverse of the dispensing head, the pattern tube is indexed one rotative increment to present the next strip into position for detection by the sensor during the succeeding traverse by dispensing head.
