The front region (36) of the internal polymeric sheath (18) is circumferentially tightened between the one protrusion (66) and the cannula (64).

    摘要: Hoses include an inner tube, a reinforcement layer disposed outwardly from the inner tube, and a cover layer disposed outwardly from the reinforcement layer, where the cover layer and/or the inner tube includes a cured composition having a sustainable content and formed from a mixture including EPDM/EPR sustainable polymer and a sulfur or peroxide based curing system. In some cases, the EPDM/EPR sustainable polymer has ethylene monomer derived from one or more renewable sources, such as, ethylene monomer derived from sugar cane. The mixture may further include one or more of recovered carbon black and sustainable oils from renewable sources. The hose embodiments may also include the reinforcement layer formed of fibers from sustainable material. The hose may contain the sustainable content in an amount of up to 75% by weight based upon total hose weight, or even greater than 25% by weight based upon total hose weight.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a tube assembly includes surrounding an outer surface of a cured rubber hose with a thermoplastic layer, the cured rubber hose extending along a length between a first end and a second end and having a first shape along its length, the thermoplastic layer surrounding the cured rubber hose along at least a portion of the length. The cured rubber hose surrounded with the thermoplastic layer is molded into a second shape different than the first shape. The cured rubber hose is retained in the second shape by the thermoplastic layer. A tube assembly includes a cured rubber hose and thermoplastic layer surrounding the rubber hose along at least a portion of the length of the cured rubber hose. The cured rubber hose has been cured in a first shape along its length and the thermoplastic layer retains the cured rubber hose in a second shape.

    摘要: Provided is a pool and/or spa cover leading edge that provides for minimal deflection across the width of the pool and/or spa, and in particular from 0 to less than or equal to 0.10 inches per 10 feet of width of the pool and/or spa. The pool and/or spa cover leading edge includes at least one fiber reinforced polymer composite with an axial length of from 5 feet to 50 feet with a linear weight per foot from 4 to 14 ounces per foot of axial length and an optional joiner for coupling together two or more composites. The composite includes at least one of continuous fibers or discontinuous fibers oriented at least partially in the axial direction and encapsulated by a thermoset or thermoplastic resin matrix. Also provided are pool and/or spa cover system and a method of reducing the deflection of a leading edge for a pool and/or spa cover.
