    摘要: A control circuit of a power conversion apparatus is provided with a switch driving unit that drives the upper and lower arm switches; a short circuit control unit that causes the switch driving unit to execute a short circuit control when a failure occurs in the system, the short circuit control turning an ON side switch to an ON state and turning an OFF side switch to an OFF state; a checking unit that executes a checking process to check whether the short circuit control is able to perform correctly; and a protection control unit that causes the switch driving unit to execute a protection control when a failure occurs on either the upper arm switch or the lower arm switch, the protection control turning the switch where the failure occurs to an OFF state. The control circuit enables the protection control during execution of the checking process.

    摘要: This application discloses a photovoltaic power generation system and method, and the system includes an inverter and at least one shutdown apparatus. A type of the shutdown apparatus includes at least one of a shutdown device and an optimizer; and an input end of each shutdown apparatus is connected to a corresponding PV module, and power of the corresponding PV module is output. In the system, when a parameter of the inverter meets a preset condition, some shutdown apparatuses are turned off to lower an input voltage of the inverter, and ensure that an input end of the inverter has a direct current source, and the system can operate as usual; and the preset condition is that the input voltage of the inverter is greater than a first preset voltage, or an input current of the inverter is less than a first preset current.

    摘要: Circuits and methods for protecting a multi-level power converter using no more than two high-voltage FET switches while allowing all or most other power switches to be low-voltage FET switches. Some embodiments provide protective high-voltage top and bottom FETs designed to saturate before the remaining low-power FET switches saturate. Other embodiments may use only low-power FETs for the power switches but provide protective circuits configured to be in an always-ON (conducting) state when in normal power conversion operation, and to quickly switch to an OFF (non-conducting) state in the event of transients or a fault condition. Optionally, one or more of the protective circuits may be used in a controlled manner to limit or block current flow during certain types of fault conditions and/or to limit in-rush current during startup of a power converter.

    摘要: An inverter is provided. The inverter includes a DC bus having positive and negative rails and an inverter arm coupled between the positive and negative rails of the DC bus. The inverter arm includes first and second silicon carbide transistor having a current-conducting terminals connected to a central node of the inverter arm. The inverter further includes at least one silicon transistor having a third current-conducting terminal connected to the central node of the inverter arm. The inverter further includes a gate driver circuit configured to switch the first silicon carbide transistor and the second silicon carbide transistor to convert DC from said DC bus into AC, and to switch said at least one silicon transistor, when the inverter arm is subjected to a load-side short circuit current, to freewheel the load-side short circuit current.
