摘要: Systems and methods are provided for accessing broadcast media items and segments from non-broadcast sources. In response to detecting that a user has not finished listening to a broadcast segment (e.g., a radio segment), an electronic device can automatically identify and access an alternate, non-broadcast source for the same broadcast segment (e.g., a corresponding podcast episode). Using the electronic device, a user can play back the segment from the non-broadcast source, starting playback at the last position of the broadcast segment when the user stopped listening to the broadcast. In some embodiments, the electronic device can update library counts (e.g., play counts and new/not new tags) based on media items and segments played back as part of a media broadcast.

摘要: A system comprises a first server including a port, a memory, a processor operatively coupled to the port and memory, and a service application for execution by the processor. The service application is configured to: receive identification information related to an over-the-air radio broadcast via the port of the first server, wherein the identification information is transmitted to the first server using a radio broadcast receiver remote from the first server; communicate a request for automatic content recognition (ACR) of an Internet-based streaming version of the over-the-air radio broadcast; and receive metadata associated with the over-the-air radio broadcast in response to the request and initiate transmission of the metadata to the radio broadcast receiver.

摘要: The present technology relates to a reception apparatus, a reception method, a transmission apparatus, and a transmission method, by which channel selection information can be acquired more efficiently. Provided is a reception apparatus, including: a reception unit that receives a broadcast wave of digital broadcasting using an IP (Internet Protocol) transmission system; a communication unit that receives first signaling information for acquiring broadcast content transmitted by the broadcast wave through communication with a server via a network; an acquisition unit that acquires, on the basis of the first signaling information, a physical parameter used in a physical layer in a hierarchy of a protocol of the IP transmission system; and a control unit that controls, on the basis of the physical parameter, operations of respective units that perform channel selection processing. The present technology is applicable to a portable receiver that is movable, for example.

摘要: The present technology relates to a reception apparatus, a transmission apparatus, and a data processing method capable of providing content according to preferences of an end user. The reception apparatus provides content according to the preferences of an end user by processing question information, which indicates a question about the preferences of the end user and is delivered together with content, on the basis of at least one of delivery information indicating that a service for providing dynamic metadata expressing the preferences of the end user is delivered or reference information indicating a reference destination of an application for generating first answer information indicating an answer set by the end user for the question about the preferences of the end user. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a television receiver.

摘要: One or more circuits may comprise at least one first-type analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and at least one second-type ADC. The circuit(s) may be operable to receive a plurality of signals, each of which may comprise a plurality of channels. The circuit(s) may be operable to digitize a selected one or more of the channels. Which, if any, of the selected channels are digitized via the at least one first-type ADC and which, if any, of the selected channels are digitized via the at least one second-type ADC, may be based on which of the plurality of channels are the selected channels and/or based on power consumption of the circuit(s). A bandwidth of each first-type ADC may be on the order of the bandwidth of one of the received signals. A bandwidth of each second-type ADC may be on the order of the bandwidth of one of the plurality of channels.
