    摘要: A copolymer comprising 0.005 to 1.5 mole % of repeating units derived from an iodine-containing fluorinated vinyl ether, 40 to 90 mole % of repeating units derived from vinylidene fluoride, 3 to 35 mole % of repeating units derived from perfluoro(methyl vinyl ether), optionally up to 25 mole % of repeating units derived from hexafluoropropylene and optionally up to 40 mole % of repeating units derived from tetrafluoroethylene, which is obtained by polymerizing the above monomers in the presence of a diiodide compound, contains iodine atoms introduced in the copolymer from the diiodide compound and the iodine-containing fluorinated vinyl ether in amounts of 0.01 to 1 wt. % and 0.01 to 2 wt. %, respectively, and has a Mooney viscosity of 20 to 150.

    摘要: A peroxide curable fluoroelastomer composition wherein the composition comprises a tetrapolymer whose interpolymerized units consist essentially of units derived from: (1) about 30-40 weight percent vinylidene fluoride, (2) about 30-40 weight percent of the fluorine-containing monomers hexafluoropropylene or pentafluoropropylene, (3) about 25-35 weight percent tetrafluoroethylene and (4) up to 3 mole percent of units, based upon the tetrapolymer, derived from a bromine-containing olefin, with the proviso that enough of such units are present to provide 0.05 weight percent bromine in the tetrapolymer, the units of the bromine-containing olefin are derived from a compound having the formula CX.sub.2 .dbd.CX(CY.sub.2).sub.n (CZ.sub.2).sub.2 Br where X is hydrogen or fluorine, Y is hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine, Z is fluorine or chlorine and n is 0-5 and said fluoroelastomer composition contains at least 1 part per hundred parts tetrapolymer of trimethallylisocyanurate.

    摘要: A process for producing a readily crosslinkable liquid, fluorine-containing polymer having a narrow range of molecular weight distribution and containing iodine in the molecule in an amount of 1 to 30% by weight based on the weight of the polymer, which comprises polymerizing vinylidene fluoride and at least one other fluoroolefin in the presence of a radical-producing source and an iodinated compound of the formula: Rf/I.sub.x wherein Rf is a saturated perfluorocarbon group, a saturated perfluorochlorocarbon group or a saturated fluorochlorohydrocarbon group and x is an integer of not less than 1 corresponding to the bonding valency of Rf while maintaining the proportion of the mole number of the monomeric components (M) to the mole number of the iodinated compound (I) in a range between 10 and 1,200.

    摘要: An easily cross linkable fluorine-containing polymer substantially comprising: (1) a polymeric chain comprising one or more polymer segments, of which at least one polymer segment consisting of units of vinylidene fluoride alone or of units of vinylidene fluoride and one or more of other fluoroolefins, and (2) at least one iodine atom liberated from an iodinated compound of the formula: RI.sub.x (wherein R is a saturated or unsaturated fluorohydrocarbon or chlorofluorohydrocarbon residue having 1 to 8 carbon atoms and x is an integer of 1 or 2 corresponding to the bonding valency of the residue R) in an amount of 0.001 to 10% by weight based on the polymer and (3) a fragment of the iodinated compound excluding the said liberated iodine atom therefrom, which are bonded to the polymeric chain and being prepared by polymerizing vinylidene fluoride with or without one or more of the other fluoroolefins in the presence of a radical producing source and the iodinated compound or its reaction product with the said monomer(s) in one or more steps, the other fluoroolefins being selected from the group consisting of tetrafluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene, trifluoroethylene, vinyl fluoride, hexafluoropropylene, pentafluoropropylene, perfluoro(methyl vinyl ether), perfluoro(ethyl vinyl ether) and perfluoro(propyl vinyl ether).
