    摘要： The invention provides an in-home dry cleaning process carried out in a dry-cleaning machine containing a non-flammable, non-chlorine containing organic dry cleaning solvent, and comprising the steps of (i) mixing the solvent with a disposable treatment composition to form a dry cleaning composition and subsequently (ii) (ii) contacting a laundry article with the dry cleaning composition. The disposable treatment composition contains a surfactant and/or cleaning agent and water in an amount which is sufficient to give both good cleaning performance and effective fabric care.

    摘要： A cleaning composition for carpets, rugs, and the like is provided. The dispensable cleaner includes: a) an effective amount of an organic solvent having a Hansen solubility parameter of less than about 10; b) an effective amount of an emulsifying or dispersing agent; c) an effective amount of a source of hydrogen peroxide; and d) the balance being water. Emulsifying or dispersing agents that are surfactants having an HLB of less than about 10 are particularly suited for removing oily soil from absorbent or adsorbent surfaces. Optional components include sequestering agents, fragrances, builders and soil retardants.

    摘要： A method of dry cleaning fabrics using a dry cleaning system is described. The system comprises densified carbon dioxide, preferably in a liquid phase, and a selected surfactant which is soluble in the densified CO.sub.2. The surfactant has a polysiloxane, a branched polyalkylene oxide or a halocarbon group which is a functional CO.sub.2 -philic moiety connected to a CO.sub.2 -phobic functional moiety. The surfactant either exhibits an HLB of less than 15 or has a ratio of siloxyl to substituted siloxyl groups of greater than 0.5:1.
