摘要: The present invention relates to a method for the break-up of at least one emulsion and separation of the light and heavy phase with at least an de-emulsification rate of more than 95% in only one apparatus (module) within less than 5 min by applying at least one time dependent or temporal changeable electrical field wherein the at least one electrical field is a high frequency (HF) singular alternating current (AC) field with an electrical field strength between 2,000 and 100,000 V/m and a frequency (HF) between 12,000 Hz and 200,000 Hz. The present invention relates furthermore to a method for the treatment of at least one emulsion by applying at least one direct current (DC) field and at least one high frequency alternating current-HF/AC field wherein the at least one DC field, in particular a pulsed DC-field, and the at least one HF/AC field are applied in series to the emulsion to be treated. The present invention refers further to a device for conducting said methods.

摘要: A system for crude oil desalting and dehydration includes a separation vessel defining a cavity extending along a central axis having a substantially-vertical orientation. The separation vessel comprises a first distributor configured to distribute a mixture within the cavity of the separation vessel, and a second distributor configured to distribute a wash fluid within the cavity of the separation vessel. The mixture comprises crude oil, water, dissolved salts, free salts, or combinations thereof, and the wash fluid comprises an aqueous fluid. The first distributor is disposed within the cavity below the second distributor, and an interface level controller is configured to detect an interface between an oil phase and an aqueous phase and to maintain the interface within a predetermined range within the cavity.

摘要: An electrostatic coalescer apparatus for separating water from a crude oil emulsion comprises a vessel housing having a cavity, an inlet for receiving a crude oil emulsion and outlets for water and purified crude oil. First and second pairs of electrodes are positioned in the vessel cavity. A first Scott-T transformer circuit is coupled to the first pair of electrodes and a second Scott-T transformer circuit is coupled to the second pair of electrodes. The first and second Scott-T transformer circuit receive as an input a 3-phase power supply and output a 2-phase high voltage signal pairs of electrodes. The 2-phase voltage generated between the first pair of electrodes is of the same amplitude and phase as the voltage generated between the second pair of electrodes via the respective Scott-T transformer circuits. A method comprises steps performed during operation of the apparatus.

摘要: A system for separating the components of an incoming oil-water mixture includes two electrode sets, one set arranged to apply an electrostatic field to an oil layer residing within a separator vessel and the other set arranged to apply an electrostatic field to the interface emulsion layer residing within the separator vessel. The first set of electrodes is in communication with a high voltage power source that ranges from 1 to 60 kV; the second set of electrodes is in communication with a low voltage power source that is no greater than 5 kV. Each set of electrodes may also be in communication with a second voltage source to provide increased power to promote effective coalescence. The system may also include power electronics to produce a variable amplitude and a variable frequency voltage supply to one or both electrode sets.

摘要: A process train for a floating production storage and offloading installation includes a crude oil storage tank equipped with at least one set of electrostatic internals. The set of electrostatic internals are arranged to provide a treatment flow path within the crude oil storage tank oblique to a longitudinal centerline of the crude oil storage tank and through an electric field provided by the set of electrostatic internals. Employing these electrostatic internals within the tank permits an allowable inlet water content into the tank of up to 80%, significantly reducing the required topside processing equipment. The process and system also includes, upstream of the tank, two separator vessels arranged in parallel so each receives a portion of an incoming oil-and-water stream, a flash vessel arranged downstream of the two separator vessels, and a degasser vessel. Downstream of the crude oil storage tank is an electrostatic treater.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and a device for enclosed recycling of oil-water-sludge in an oil shale dry distillation system, comprising: scrubbing and condensing oil shale dry distillation gas at a gathering pipe section, a gas tower section, an air tower section, and a cooling tower section respectively to recycle shale oil section by section; using a separator at an outlet of each section to purify and collect the shale oil, while purifying and recycling scrubbing/cooling water; using multistage dedusters to remove oil sludge entrained in an oil-water product; using an oil sludge collecting tank and a filter after the deduster to concentrate and recycle an oil sludge; and using cyclones before and after the gas tower section to remove aerosol particles and water drops entrained in circulatory gas. Advantages include: low equipment investment costs, small occupation area, low failure rate, a highly pure shale oil product and a highly concentrated oil sludge product, and recycled waste water generated in the purification and concentration processes, thereby achieving full enclosure of the device system, greatly reducing the energy consumption, and improving the oil shale dry distillation process in the prior art.

Systems include a high pressure production trap (HPPT), a low pressure production trap (LPPT), a low pressure degassing tank (LPDT), a first knockout drum (KOD) fluidly coupled to the LPDT and operable to accept an atmospheric pressure off-gas from the LPDT, an atmospheric pressure compressor fluidly coupled to the first KOD and operable to compress the atmospheric pressure off-gas to introduce the atmospheric pressure off-gas from the LPDT into the LPPT inlet feed stream, a second KOD fluidly coupled to the LPPT and operable to accept a low pressure off-gas from the LPPT, and a low pressure compressor fluidly coupled to the second KOD and operable to compress the low pressure off-gas to introduce the low pressure off-gas from the LPPT into the crude oil inlet feed stream.
