    Abstract: A fault detection scheme can include use of a relatively high injection impedance between an input port for analog measurements from a sensor and a stimulus generation circuit controlled in coordination with analog measurement. The stimulus generation circuit can provide a stimulus signal through the injection impedance. A magnitude of the injection impedance can be specified relative to a source impedance associated with a source (e.g., a sensor or other device) coupled to the input port. For example, a magnitude of the injection impedance can be specified to be larger than the source impedance or the injection impedance magnitude can be specified to be a multiple of the source impedance.

    Abstract: Isolated DC-DC converters are described. A DC-DC converter is a device which converts a direct current (DC) signal from one voltage to another. An isolated DC-DC converter performs the conversion across an electrical isolation barrier separating two voltage domains. The signal converted from one voltage to another, and transferred from one voltage domain to another, may be a power signal. Described are isolated DC-DC converters which transfer a power signal from one voltage domain to another via an isolator, and a power feedback signal back across the isolator. The isolator is a transformer in some situations.

    Abstract: The amplifier circuit includes a pair of differential input stages coupled to an output stage where both a selected input stage and an unselected input stage are active with one of either a differential input signal or a reference voltage. A switching network couples a first input differential signal to a first differential input stage and a reference voltage to a second differential input stage when an amplifier input signal is less than a threshold voltage. The switching circuit also couples the second input differential signal to the second differential input stage and the reference voltage to the first differential input stage when the amplifier input signal is greater than the threshold signal.
