Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a technology for controlling an antenna in a wireless communication system. A beam tracking apparatus comprises an antenna unit simultaneously generating a plurality of directional beams, a transceiver including at least one transceiver unit (TXRU) supplying a signal to the antenna unit or receiving a signal from the antenna unit, and a controller controlling beam generation of the antenna unit and TXRU assignment of the transceiver. The controller controls the antenna unit to generate a serving beam, receives a first signal from a target communication device using the serving beam, controls the antenna unit to generate at least one tracking beam oriented in a different direction from the serving beam while maintaining the serving beam, receives a second signal from the target communication device using the serving beam and the at least one tracking beam, and determines whether to change the serving beam based on the received first and second signals.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a solid-state photonic crystal IPN composite functionalized with an enzyme, a photonic crystal IPN composite prepared by the method, and a biosensor using the photonic crystal IPN composite. The method of the present invention includes (1) mixing a nonreactive chiral dopant with a reactive nematic mesogen, curing the mixture, and removing the chiral dopant while maintaining a helical structure, to form a solid-state helical photonic crystal structure, (2) infiltrating a PAA hydrogel into the internal space of the photonic crystal structure, followed by curing to form an IPN-structured composite, and (3) immobilizing an enzyme in the IPN-structured composite. The PAA hydrogel is infiltrated into the solid-state helical photonic crystal structure and the enzyme is immobilized such that a pH change caused by the enzymatic reaction induces shrinkage and expansion of the PAA hydrogel, leading to a color change.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a bio-ink composition for bio-printing comprising a polymer into which methacrylate is introduced, a crosslinking agent having 1-10 acrylate functional groups, and a photoinitiator; a method for preparing same; and a printing biological structure for controlling physical properties using same. The bio-ink composition for bio-printing prepared according to the present invention can be implanted in vivo and has a very high degree of biocompatibility or cell viability. In addition, the bio-ink composition of the present invention can be effectively utilized for bio-printing because a biological structure can be produced that is capable of controlling physical properties or in vivo application even when irradiated with light for a short period of time.

Abstract: A skin whitening composition includes β-mangostin or a cosmetically acceptable salt thereof as an effective ingredient. β-Mangostin represented by Chemical Formula 1 suppresses the expression of tyrosinase and TRP-1 (tyrosinase-related protein-1) and induces autophagy of a melasosome. As such, it was confirmed that the β-mangostin not only suppresses melanin production but also exhibits the effect of removing previously formed melanin. Accordingly, the β-mangostin can be advantageously used as a functional material for skin whitening and skin lightening.
