Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining a precoding matrix indicator, a user equipment (UE), a base station (e.g., eNB), and a system. The method includes: receiving a reference signal sent by a base station; selecting, based on the reference signal, a precoding matrix from a codebook, where a precoding matrix W included in the codebook is a product of two matrices W1 and W2, where W1 is a block diagonal matrix, where each block matrix is a Kronecker product of a matrix Ai and a matrix Bi; and sending a precoding matrix indicator PMI to the base station, where the PMI corresponds to the selected precoding matrix, so that the base station obtains the precoding matrix according to the PMI.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an interference measurement method, a base station, and a user equipment. The method includes: determining, by a user equipment, a first resource for interference measurement in a first subframe or determining a second resource not for interference measurement in the first subframe according to at least one of the zero-power CSI-RS configuration information, the non-zero power CSI-RS configuration information, and the CSI-IM configuration information; and performing interference measurement on the first resource, or performing no interference measurement on the second resource. The embodiments of the present invention can improve precision of interference measurement.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for transmitting channel quality information. User equipment receives a control signaling for uplink scheduling. The control signaling for uplink scheduling includes at least one modulation and coding scheme (MCS) field, a channel quality information request field, and a resource block allocation field indicating the number of resource blocks (RBs), NRB, allocated to the user equipment for transmitting the channel quality information. When the channel quality information of multiple downlink carriers is requested, the user equipment transmits only the channel quality information on the uplink shared channel according to the allocated RBs if: the MCS bit field corresponding to one transport block indicates a MCS corresponding to a retransmitted data packet; the request bit field indicates a request for the channel quality information; and the NRB is equal to or less than 4*N, wherein N is a positive integer and corresponds to the number of multiple downlink carriers.
