Abstract: An air cleaner assembly including a housing, a filter cartridge removably positioned within the inner opening of the housing, wherein the filter cartridge includes a media pack and a sealing member that includes a pinch seal portion spaced from an outer surface of the media pack and positionable within a housing channel of the housing when the filter cartridge is positioned within the inner opening of the housing, and a precleaner assembly positionable between the filter cartridge and the inlet end of the housing, wherein the precleaner includes a base member having a lower edge, and an access cover removably attachable to an inlet end of the housing, wherein the precleaner assembly is sealable within the air cleaner assembly by pressing the lower edge of the base member against a top surface of the sealing member.

Abstract: Aspects herein include filter systems including short-range wireless tracking features to detect insertion and/or removal of filter elements from filter systems. In an embodiment, a filtration system is included having a housing including a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The housing can define an internal volume. A first filter element can be removably disposed within the housing. A short-range wireless communication tag can be associated with the first filter element. A short-range wireless communication reader can be associated with the housing, the reader configured to wirelessly send data to and receive data from the tag when the reader and the tag are at a distance that is less than or equal to a maximum communication distance. Removal of the first filter element from the housing can cause the distance between the tag and the reader to exceed the maximum communication distance. Other embodiments are also included herein.

Abstract: A thermally bonded filtration media that can be used in high temperature conditions in the absence of any loss of fiber through thermal effects or mechanical impact on the fiber components is disclosed. The filter media can be manufactured and used in a filter unit or structure, can be placed in a stream of removable fluid, and can remove a particulate load from the mobile stream at an increased temperature range. The combination of bi-component fiber, other filter media fiber, and other filtration additives provides an improved filtration media having unique properties in high temperature, high performance applications.

Abstract: According to the present disclosure, air cleaner assemblies, components, features, and methods relating thereto, are described. These features, in part, relate to configuration of a preferred seal arrangement and seal surface of the cartridge. Particular arrangements are shown, in which: the filter cartridge includes a seal arrangement having a axial pinch seal surface with a projection/recess contour including at least one projection thereon; and, the cartridge includes a seal contour projection stabilizing portion at a location in perimeter alignment with the portion of the seal pinch arrangement including the first housing engagement projection. Additional features are included that relate to clean air separator section tubes of a precleaner arrangement secured to a cartridge. These features can be used in cartridges including features outlined above, or in alternative cartridges. Additional features of air cleaner arrangements and filter cartridges in accord with the above are described.
