Abstract:
Practical structures of an ultra large scale semiconductor integrated (ULSI) circuit especially a dynamic random access memory of 16 M bits or more are involved. The ULSI circuit uses internal operating voltages and how to construct a reference voltage generating circuit and a voltage limiter circuit in the ULSI circuit is a matter of importance. The operation of the reference voltage generating circuit and voltage limiter circuit can be stabilized, characteristics of these circuits are improved, and layout of these circuits as applied to memory cell array, peripheral circuits and the like can be improved. Improved methods of testing these circuits are provided.
Abstract:
A water-absorbent resin composition having superior gel stability which comprises a water-absorbent resin, at least one oxygen-containing reducing inorganic salt and, optionally, at least one organic antioxidant.
Abstract:
A front conversion adapter which can be attached to the front face of a lens shutter type of camera having a zoom lens and a finder optical system, wherein a lens frame of the zoom lens moves in accordance with the zooming operation. The front conversion adapter has an adapter body which can be attached to a camera body, and a conversion optical system which is located in front of the zoom lens and which moves in the optical axis direction thereof to change the focal length of the zoom lens. The conversion optical system is supported by an adapter lens frame so as to move in the optical axis direction in association with movement of the lens frame of the zoom lens and in accordance with zooming operation.
Abstract:
A camera having a focus adjusting lens assembly, including a camera body, a lens barrel movable in the optical axis direction with respect to the camera body, a first variable power lens group which is supported to move in the optical axis direction with respect to the lens barrel, a second variable power lens group integrally connected to the lens barrel so as to move therewith, pantograph linkages which contractibly connect the camera body and the lens barrel to vary the distance therebetween, and an actuator for moving the first power lens group to a predetermined position in the lens barrel in accordance with the deformation of the pantograph.
Abstract:
A transfer chamber is provided between MOCVD reaction chamber and load lock chamber, connected to each chamber through an opening for each, for preventing the reaction chamber from the invasion of foreign gases, which may oxydize metals of MOCVD. The load lock chamber can be evacuated or filled with an inert gas, and has a door to the outside for bringing semiconductor wafers in or out. The transfer chamber is provided with a gas inlet and a gas outlet, through each of them an inert gas is always fed and drained for circulation, and also provided with a transfer mechanism therein for transferring wafers between the load lock chamber and the reaction chamber. Wafers are placed on a susceptor connected to the lid, which is driven by the transfer mechanism. A liner tube for protecting the inner surface of the reaction chamber from undesirable contamination caused by MOCVD reaction may be provided detachably attached to the lid to enclose the wafer. Each opening may be provided with shutter means for sealing each opening while the opening is not sealed by the lid. Oxygen or water vapor undesirably introduced are washed away by the flow of inert gas in the transfer chamber on the way to the reaction chamber.

Abstract:
An improved lens focusing position adjusting mechanism in which the focusing position is adjusted by changing the relative coupling position, in a circumferential direction, of a focusing ring and a drive ring fitted in the focusing lens and moved together with the focusing lens to drive a lens system. A circumferential groove is formed in the engaging surface of the drive ring or focusing ring, an adjustment belt is inserted in the groove, and the adjusting belt is positioned with respect to the focusing ring and tightened to the outer wall of the drive ring to combine the drive ring and the focusing ring into a single unit.
Abstract:
A water-absorbent resin usable as a suitable water absorbent in sanitary materials and other fields can be produced by subjecting an aqueous solution of an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid and of an alkali metal salt thereof to polymerization with a radical polymerization initiator in a petroleum-based hydrocarbon solvent in the presence or absence of a crosslinking agent and, in this polymerization, using a saccharose-fatty acid ester as a protective colloid agent.
