Abstract:
Provided is an opening-and-closing mechanism that can be latched at a predetermined opening angle, wherein the latching can be disengaged with a small force in the opening direction whereas the latching is gradually disengaged in the closing direction. An opening-and-closing mechanism 1 includes a first supporting member 9 and a second supporting member 7 disposed relatively rotatable around a rotary axis; a plurality of protruding portions 15 provided on the first supporting member 9; and a plurality of depressed portions 23A, 23B, 23C, 23D, 23E, and 23F provided on the second supporting member 7 and engaged with the plurality of protruding portions 15, wherein, when the first supporting member 9 and the second supporting member 7 are in a plurality of predetermined relative alignments, some of the plurality of protruding portions 15 and some of the plurality of depressed portions 23A, 23B, 23C, 23D, 23E, and 23F are engaged, and wherein forces required for disengaging the protruding portions 15 and the depressed portions 23A, 23B, 23C, 23D, 23E, and 23F by rotating at least one of the first supporting member 9 and second supporting member 7 differ in a first rotation direction and a second rotation direction.
Abstract:
The invention regards to a mechanism for the aligned closure of sliding doors (1-3), in particular for furniture or compartments (V1-V3) with two or more doors, with a sliding door (1, 2 or 3) for each compartment, and where each compartment opens by sliding and overlapping of one door with one of the adjacent doors and closes in alignment with the adjacent doors. The mechanism consists of a single bracket (10) for each door, one end of the bracket (10) being fixed on the door, and its opposite end being equipped with a first sensing bearing (13) to run along a cam guide (70), said bracket (10) being suitable for inclination and transversal movement with a carriage (30), which also allows it to slide along a rail (50) to be positioned on the upper surface of the compartments. The carriage (30) can be adjusted transversally and the bracket (10) can move axially in relation to the carriage (30). An arm (14), one end of which is firmly attached to the bracket (10), while the other end (14a) is equipped with at least a second sensing device having a bearing (15, 15′), can run along an other longitudinal cam guide (60) using the same bracket (10) for inclination and movement.
Abstract:
Doors are made to open and close from a center of an opening of an accommodation box in such a manner as a double-leafed hinged door does via an interlocking mechanism (link mechanisms) which converts a sliding movement in a direction which is substantially normal to a plane including an opening into rotational movements of the doors around corresponding rotational axes which are set individually on left- and right-hand sides of the opening, and when they are in an open position where the opening is opened completely, the doors are stored compact to lie along left and right lateral sides of the accommodation box.
Abstract:
Furniture hinge with damping and/or braking device in alternative to those already existing and capable of guaranteeing an improved efficiency during the closing or opening operation of the doors, or other furniture parts, thanks to an improvement of the kinematic motion for transmitting motion from one of the rockers to the damping elements. The improved efficiency of this hinge is also obtained by increasing the friction surfaces with a viscous medium present in suitable areas of the hinge and by allowing regulation of the trend of the angular velocity of a circular shaped element, for example a disc, which acts as braking element in contact with the viscous medium.
Abstract:
A viscous rotary damping device for a vehicle end gate assembly is provided. The damping device includes a housing member configured to operatively attach to the vehicle body or the end gate assembly. The housing member defines a fluid chamber having viscous fluid therein. The damping device also includes an impeller member having a mast with a first end configured to operatively attach to the other of the vehicle body and the end gate assembly, and a second end having one or more blades projecting outward therefrom. The second end of the mast is rotatably received in the fluid chamber such that the impeller member dissipates kinetic energy generated by the end gate assembly when transitioning between a first, closed position and a second, open position. A cover plate member is preferably coupled to the housing member, and configured to fluidly seal the fluid chamber.
Abstract:
A hinge arrangement for a cover element in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, for example a hinged cover for a glove compartment or a CD player compartment is disclosed. The cover can be pivoted from a closed position into an open position about a pivot axis. The hinge arrangement includes an arrangement whereby the cover may be displaced (for example, substantially transversely to the pivot path) during the pivoting movement.
Abstract:
A vehicle tailgate movement assist mechanism including a tailgate configured to rotate between opened and closed positions, and a tailgate lever arm fixedly connected to a bottom area of the tailgate. A drive lever may be pivotally connected to the lever arm and to a bell crank at opposite ends thereof. The bell crank may be connected to a shaft of a rotary gear pivotally anchored to a vehicle body. A rotary damper may be anchored to the vehicle body and include a damper gear connected to a shaft thereof. The damper gear may be rotatably meshed with the rotary gear. Rotation of the tailgate from a closed to an opened position simultaneously rotates the lever arm to move the drive lever and the bell crank to thereby rotate the rotary gear which rotates the damper gear to actuate the rotary damper to reduce an opening speed of the tailgate.
Abstract:
An overhead door control system includes an input shaft drivably connected to an overhead door axle and a load brake shaft drivably connected to the input shaft. The control system includes a load brake which releases the load brake shaft in response to rotation of the input shaft. The load brake engages the load brake shaft in response to the rotation of the input shaft being driven to zero.
Abstract:
A spindle drive for a movable component includes a threaded spindle which is rotatable about a spindle axis; a spindle nut which engages the threaded spindle; and a transmission element which can be connected to the movable component, the transmission element being fixed against rotation about the spindle axis and being axially drivable by rotation of the spindle nut. An intermediate element, which is fixed against rotation relative to the spindle nut, extends axially with respect to the threaded spindle and is rotatable relative to the threaded spindle. A drive is connected to rotate one of the intermediate element and the threaded spindle; and the other of the intermediate element and the threaded spindle can be fixed against rotation.
