Abstract:
Various embodiments of systems and methods for performing backup operation in In-memory database systems are described herein. The method includes receiving a request to create a backup of a data set from a main memory of the system. In response to the request, the data set is configured as read-only and a data structure having meta-data information identifying the blocks of data in the main memory that form the data set is invoked. A snapshot of the data structure is created and the data set is enabled for manipulation. Further, the method involves receiving a request to modify a block of data and copying the requested data block to a free memory block in the main memory. The data structure is updated by replacing the meta-data identifying the requested original data block with meta-data identifying the free memory block which holds a copy of the requested data block.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a mounting, configured for fixing a reactor, in particular a PECVD reactor, in a vacuum chamber (1), the mounting (10) comprising a framework of at least two outer beams (11) being arranged opposite to each other, and a plurality of cross beams (12), wherein the outer beams (11) and the cross beams (12) form compartments (13), in which temperature controlling elements are provided. The mounting (10) according to the invention has a reduced weight and is producible cost saving.
Abstract:
A stamped product for permanently obturating holes, especially in metal sheets or plastic parts of automobile bodies, having an at least partly single-sidedly self-adhesively treated base layer comprising a heat-resistant backing whose area is greater than the area of the hole to be obturated and which is provided, in particular centrally, on the adhesively treated side with a first section of a heat-activable adhesive sheet whose area is greater than the area of the hole to be obturated and less than the area of the base layer, the stamped product being applied over the hole to be obturated, in such a way that the hole is substantially covered by the first section.
Abstract:
A finely powdery magnesium hydroxide especially suitable as a flame-retardant filler for plastic compounds, in which the particles are provided optionally with a thin coating of a surfactant. The grain size of the magnesium hydroxide, measured by laser diffraction, is below 10 .mu.m. The median value of the grain size is greater than 0.8 .mu.m, and the maximum of the median value of the grain size is 3 .mu.m. The contents of water-soluble ionic impurities, viz. Ca.sup.++, Na.sup.+, K.sup.+, SO.sub.4 --, Cl.sup.-, of the magnesium hydroxide are below the following limits (in parts by weight): Ca.sup.++
Abstract:
Acylamino carboxylic acid derivatives corresponding to the formula I ##STR1## in which the groups R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 represent functional groups specified in the claims. The acylamino carboxylic acid derivatives have valuable pharmacological properties which, in particular, favorably influence nitrogen metabolism. The compounds are useful as active ingredients in pharmaceutical and/or dietetic compositions for treatment or prevention of nitrogen metabolism disturbances in large mammals caused, for example, by liver or kidney damage.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for thermal sterilization in particular of a container filled with medical material or product, the method comprising a sterilization method step in which a thermal sterilization in particular is carried out of a container filled with medical material or product in the presence of a sterilization atmosphere, containing steam, at temperatures of at least 100° C. and at increased pressure, wherein the sterilization method step comprises at least a first method stage and a second method stage, following the first method stage, with first and second method stages being carried out at different pressures with respect to one another, the pressure in the second method stage being increased relative to the pressure in the first method stage.
Abstract:
The in-line repair operations in the automotive industry require high-temperature masking tapes which satisfy a particular profile of requirements. Hence such masking tapes must be temperature-stable and must have a high crosslinking potential. Masking tapes employed are tapes coated with thermally crosslinking natural rubber (NR) adhesives which have a crosslinker resin/phenolic resin component.Thermally reactive pressure-sensitive adhesives of this kind are prepared by a process comprising a non-thermoplastic rubber constituent of the pressure-sensitive adhesive and a crosslinker system, the crosslinker system comprising a promoter component and as crosslinking component a reactive phenolic resin, where, in the process, the rubber constituent and a first component of the crosslinker system are mixed homogeneously in a mixing assembly, at a first processing temperature of the mixing assembly, to give a premix, a premix temperature being established in the premix; subsequently the premix is cooled from the premix temperature to a final composition temperature which is lower than the first premix temperature; and lastly the second component of the crosslinker system is added to the premix.
Abstract:
A system may include determination of historical resource load information associated with an enterprise computing system, determination of resource needs of the enterprise computing system associated with a future time based on the historical resource load information, and, at the future time, automatic allocation and de-allocation of resources to the enterprise computing system based on the determined resource needs.
Abstract:
A gate valve for a vacuum chamber comprises two carriers (5a) each connected to a frame structure providing an essentially plane front by two parallel links (6) and to an actuating rod (12a) by parallel levers (14). Upward motion of the actuating rods (12a) by a piston (17) causes, via the levers (14), upward motion of the carriers (5a) which is transformed into a circular motion by the links (6) where the carriers (5a) at the same time approach the front while remaining parallel to it, moving sealing plates (9) which are fixed to the carriers (5a) to an active position where they press against the front and seal openings (3) therein. Retraction of the piston (17) effects an inverse motion, whereby the sealing plates (9) are completely removed from the openings (3) and the latter made easily accessible.
Abstract:
A method and a system for the propagation of a message in a radio-operated communication network having a base unit and a plurality of members, wherein the base unit and the members each includes a transmitter and a receiver, the receiver being activated at cyclical switch-on times for a certain respective receiving period. A message to be sent from a member to the base unit is transmitted by the member to at least one adjacent member as a function of at least one rule, and the message is transmitted by the at least one adjacent member, according to the at least one rule, to at least one member adjacent thereto, in the direction of the base unit. The process is repeated such that the message is transmitted from at least one adjacent member receiving the message according to the at least one rule to at least one member adjacent thereto, in the direction of the base unit. The message is transmitted from the at least one member that is adjacent to the base unit to at least the base unit.
