Abstract:
The present invention relates to a functional substance-releasing agent containing a silicic acid ester compound represented by formula (1) below, a process for producing the functional substance-releasing agent, and a composition containing the functional substance-releasing agent. wherein R1 represents a residue of an alcohol which results from removal of one hydroxyl group therefrom, the alcohol being selected from a functional alcohol having a log P value of 2.0 or less and an alcohol having a log P value of 2.1 or more, a plurality of R1s may be the same or different, provided that the silicic acid ester compound has, in one molecule, at least one residue resulting from removal of one hydroxyl group from a functional alcohol having a log P value of 2.0 or less and at least one residue resulting from removal of one hydroxyl group from an alcohol having a log P value of 2.1 or more.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus comprising an image forming unit for forming a non-fixed toner image on a recording material, a heater for heating the non-fixed toner image, a back-up member for cooperating with the heater to form a nip therebetween, the back-up member pinching and conveying the recording material at the nip in such a manner that the non-fixed toner image is contacted with the heater so that the non-fixed toner image is fixed to the recording material by heat from the heater, and a cleaning member for cleaning the back-up member. The cleaning member is brought into a first and second cleaning mode in which an image forming operation is not effected and the back-up member is cleaned, the second cleaning mode having a cleaning time longer than a cleaning time of the first cleaning mode.
Abstract:
A conveying system has access to a first supply means (11) for supplying a plurality of types of first automobile body components (10a) having different shapes, a second supply means (13) for supplying a single type of second automobile body component (12), and conveys the automobile body components in a combined manner to a next processing station. With the conveying system, a fourth lift (16) receives first body components (10a) of a first type and second body components (12) of a single type from a first carrier (18) and delivers them via a second fork lift (23) to a transfer area near the next processing station, or receives the second components (12) via the second fork lift (23) and the first components (10c) of a second type via a third lift (40), and delivers them to the transfer area when only the second component arrives via the second fork lift (23).
Abstract:
This invention relates to an overhead work suspension conveyor for conveying a piece of work, for example, a tailgate to a main body in an assembly line of a vehicle main body. An object of this invention is to efficiently and surely hold plural kinds of work pieces of different configurations in a suspended position and to permit their easy loading on a work conveyance mechanism. This invention therefore provides an overhead work suspension conveyor comprising a traverser main body, plural spindles turnably supported relative to the traverser main body, plural work support members fixed at upper ends thereof on the spindles and having work supports at lower ends thereof, said work supports being turnable responsive to turning of the corresponding spindles to support a piece of work at an outer periphery thereof, and a spindle drive mechanism arranged on the traverser main body and adapted to selectively turn the spindle depending on the kind of the work piece.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a movable photosensitive member, a charger for uniformly charging the photosensitive member, exposure device for illuminating an original and exposing the photosensitive member charged by the charger to the light from the original, a scanner for scanning by a laser beam the photosensitive member charged by the charger, the scanner including a deflector for deflecting the laser beam, and wherein the deflector is disposed upstream of an exposure position of the exposure device with respect to movement direction of the photosensitive member, and a scanning position of the scanner is disposed downstream of the exposure position. The laser beam forms a margin on the photosensitive member for the leading edge of a copy sheet.
Abstract:
A laser unit includes a laser source for emitting a laser beam, a collimator lens for collimating the laser beam emitted from the laser source, a supporting member, made of a good thermal conductivity material, for supporting the laser source, and a heat insulating layer disposed between the supporting member and the collimator lens.
Abstract:
A copying apparatus having an optical scanning system includes an upper casing that can be opened and closed and a scanning device on the upper casing for scanning an original. The scanning device includes an abnormality detector for detecting the occurrence of an abnormality during a copy operation. When an abnormality is detected by the detector, the scanning device is moved to a scanning start position.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus such as a copying apparatus and a laser beam printer, is capable of forming a superimposed image or duplex image on one sheet. The sheet which has been once subjected to the image forming operation and which is going to be subjected to another image forming operation is reintroduced into the image forming station selectively through a flow-through sheet passage or through an intermediate tray on which the transfer sheets are once stacked. A displaceable flapper is provided to direct the sheet selectively to the flow-through passage or to the intermediate tray.
Abstract:
An original reading apparatus includes an original feeding unit for feeding the front and back sides of two-side originals in succession to a reading position, a reader unit for reading the original in the reading position, a memory unit for storing the image data of the original read by the reader unit, a read-out unit adapted to read the image data from the memory unit in the continuous order of pages, in case of reading a bundle of originals wherein the pages are so arranged that a side of the original bears the images of N-th and first pages and the other side of the original bears the images of (N-1)-th and second pages, and an output unit for successively outputting or transmitting the image data read by the read-out unit.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus performs the printing in any of a copy mode, a facsimile mode and a print mode, having a sorter for sorting ejected sheets, wherein the operation is controlled suitably for each mode when the number of sheets stored in a bin of said sorter is over the upper limit. An image forming method using a plurality of bins, and a counter for counting the number of sheets stored in each bin, includes interrupting the print if the number of sheets stored in the bin is over the upper limit in the copy mode, and continuing the print and switching the bin, in the printer and facsimile mode, if the number of sheets is over the upper limit.
