摘要: A locking mechanism for securing a jumper tube to a shunt tube in a well screen assembly for use in gravel packing is disclosed. The jumper tube features a telescoping connector that extends to engage the shunt tube and a locking mechanism that extends the connector the proper distance and then locks the connector into place by engaging lugs that are connected to the jumper tube. Also disclosed is an apparatus and method for securing a connector tube to a well screen assembly using a receiver that is attached to the well screen assembly and is configured to receive a connector tube and secure the connector tube into place with screws. The receiver can be mounted to the well screen assembly via the shunt tube, a top/middle-bottom ring assembly, directly to the base pipe.

摘要: The invention relates to a method of constructing a flat woven light-weight fabric and the use of this fabric for the production of a seat cover. The method comprises the steps of selecting a flat woven heavy-weight fabric having a weight of 260 to 340 g/m2, said heavy-weight fabric showing a decorative pattern; determining the warp and weft yarn titer, the warp and weft density of said heavy-weight fabric; modelling different weave designs by systematically decreasing the warp yarn titer, the weft yarn titer, the warp density and/or the weft density in the weave design program; comparing each of the obtained weave designs with the pattern of the heavy-weight fabric and selecting that weave design which shows the same decorative pattern as the heavy-weight fabric and which has a weight being at least 20% lower than that of the heavy-weight fabric; and weaving a fabric accordingly.

摘要: Various embodiments of apparatus, systems, and methods operate to receive measurements corresponding to a plurality of forces sensed substantially simultaneously at a substantially planar, weight-bearing measurement surface. Additional activity includes determining a location on the surface, based on a combination of the measurements, of an equivalent force that corresponds to the combination of the measurements. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.

摘要: A unique post-operative circumcision device (POCD) is disclosed which reduces the possibility of discomfort or injury to the circumcised penis from outside external threats to the circumcised penis with such POCD being applied to encompass the circumcised penis of the patient. The POCD is to be applied immediately after circumcision post-operatively at the health care facility. The POCD in its preferred form is composed of a semi-pliable material suitable for human use in the shape of a cylindrical cup and placed to encompass the circumcised penis. The POCD is to be applied post-operatively before the patient applies clothing to reduce the possibility of externalities injuring or discomforting the circumcised penis. A disposable POCD is to be replaced four times daily or after each bath for up to five days after the date of circumcision or as suggested by the physician or surgeon. A non-disposable POCD can be used and must be disinfected four times daily or after each bath.

摘要: A water-impervious material forms a protective envelope around the hull of a vessel. Interconnected pipe sections in a tubular opening around the upper edge of the envelope form a rigid frame to maintain the shape of the envelope. A pair of split rods pivotally connected at two points between pipe sections create a front collapsible portion of the envelope. The weight of the pipe sections in the front collapsible portion cause it to sink and pivot downwardly to allow a vessel to enter and exit the envelope. Ropes and blocks between the front portion and the floating piers are used to raise the front collapsible portion and the ropes tied to the vessel to maintain the front portion in place. The remainder of the envelope is fitted with a series of floats so that the envelope encircles the vessel to prevent marine growth on the hull of the vessel. Counterweights on ropes through pier blocks and connected to the envelope around its perimeter maintain it in place around the vessel.

摘要: This invention corresponds to a prosthesis for total or hip resurfacing replacement, which comprises a prosthetic femoral head made of highly cross-linked polyethylene, with a diameter ranging from 38 mm to 64 mm, to articulate with a cup or acetabular component made of metal. When the invention applies to total hip replacement, the polyethylene head includes a metal core, which contains inside the female counterpart (14) to mate with the male counterpart (13) of a Morse taper, located at the upper end of the femoral component. The use of this type of head for total hip replacement, articulated with an ultra-polished acetabular cup, reduces the risk of dislocation, transmits less angular and torque forces to the Morse taper than large metal heads, and avoids the problems related to the metal-metal bearing or with the use of large metal heads with thin polyethylene. When the invention relates to hip resurfacing replacement, the highly cross-linked polyethylene femoral head has a lower polyethylene extension or stem with or without internal metal reinforcement (151) or a metal stem integrated into a metal-back (152). Using these types of heads for hip resurfacing replacement heads eliminates the problems associated with metal-on-metal resurfacing replacements.
