A content of one or more inorganic fillers selected from the group consisting of TiO2, SiO2, and BaSO4 is 200 ppm or less, a breaking elongation is 15% or more, a dry shirinkage rate is 3% or more, and the sum of the breaking elongation and the dry shirinkage rate is 20% or more, a production method thereof, and a fabric for an airbag produced therefrom. The polyester yarn has remarkably reduced stiffness and excellent mechanical properties of high strength, high elongation, and high shirinkage.

    摘要: Disclosed is a polyester yarn that can be used in a fabric for an airbag. In particular, a polyester yarn having a diethylene glycol content of 1.1 to 2.5 wt % and initial modulus of 100 g/d or less, a production method thereof, and a fabric for an airbag produced therefrom are disclosed. The polyester yarn has excellent moisture and heat resistance and light resistance, and maintained excellent mechanical properties after long-term aging under high temperature and high humidity conditions. Therefore, when applied to a fabric for an airbag, the polyester yarn provides excellent packing property, shape stability, and gas barrier effect, and the impact applied to a passenger is minimized, thereby safely protecting the passenger at the same time.

    摘要: A polyester filamentary yarn having a novel internal microstructure, a polyester tire cord produced from the yarn and a process for production thereof are provided. The polyester yarn of the present invention comprising at least 90 mol % polyethylene terephthalate and having a fineness of 3 to 5 denier per filament, wherein said yarn satisfies the following i).about.iii) characteristics, after it has been treated for 3 minutes at temperature of 240.degree.0 C., tension of 0.1 g/d, said yarn satisfies the following iv).about.vii) variations of mircrostructural physical properties: i) a density of 1.38.about.1.39 g/cm.sup.3, ii) a birefringence index in amorphous portions of 0.06.about.0.09, iii) tan .delta. peak temperature of 140 .degree. C. and below, iv) the increment of a percent crystallinity (.DELTA.X.sub.c) of 10.about.20 wt. %, v) the decrement of an amorphous orientation coefficient (.DELTA.F.sub.a) of at least 0.05, vi) the increment of a long period value (.DELTA.LP) of at least 10.ANG., and vii) the decrement to tan .delta. peak temperature (.DELTA. tan .delta..sub.peak) of at least 5 .degree. C. The filamentary yam is dipped in a rubber solution to produce a tire cord which exhibits excellent dimensional stability and fatigue resistance when it has been incorporated in a rubber matrix of a tire.

    摘要: Disclosed are a preparation method for drawn fibers that enables the preparation of drawn poly(ethyleneterephthalate) fibers exhibiting with high fineness of at least 2,000 denier while having high tenacity and excellent dimensional stability and causes almost no deterioration of tenacity during the manufacturing process of tires such as vulcanization, and a drawn poly(ethyleneterephthalate) fiber and a tire cord that are obtained by the preparation method. The preparation method for drawn poly(ethyleneterephthalate) fiber includes: melt-spinning a polymer comprising at least 90 mol % of poly(ethyleneterephthalate) having a content of terminal carboxyl group (—COOH) in the range of 20 to 30 eq/106g at a spinning speed of 2,500 to 4,000 m/min to form a undrawn fiber having a fineness of at least 2,000 denier; and drawing the undrawn fiber at a draw ratio of 1.4 to 2.4.
