Abstract:
A filter assembly for a fluid filter includes a plurality of filter units assembled in series, and each filter unit includes: a connecting member, an input member and an output member. The input member of each of the filter units has an extending pipe connected to a connecting pipe of another filter unit, so that the filter units can be easily assembled by directly screwing the connecting pipe of the connecting member of one filter unit into the extending pipe of the input member of another filter unit, without using tools or fasteners. Hence, the assembling cost is relatively reduced.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for polysilicon MOS capacitors in a replacement gate process. A method includes disposing a gate dielectric layer over a semiconductor substrate; disposing a polysilicon gate layer over the dielectric layer; patterning the gate dielectric layer and the polysilicon gate layer to form a plurality of polysilicon gates spaced by at least a minimum polysilicon to polysilicon pitch; defining a polysilicon resistor region containing at least one of the polysilicon gates and not containing at least one other of the polysilicon gates, which form dummy gates; depositing a mask layer over an inter-level dielectric layer; patterning the mask layer to expose the dummy gates; removing the dummy gates and the gate dielectric layer underneath the dummy gates to leave trenches in the inter-level dielectric layer; and forming high-k metal gate devices in the trenches in the inter-level dielectric layer. An apparatus produced by the method is disclosed.

A solar panel assembly with a lighting pattern includes a solar panel and an energy storage device. An electroluminescence layer is disposed on a light receiving face of the solar panel. The electroluminescence layer includes a plurality through-holes. The number and the overall area of the plurality of through-holes are configured to permit incident light rays entering the electroluminescence layer to activate the solar panel to proceed with optical-electrical conversion, providing a light receiving effect and a light emitting effect on the same area of the solar panel. A patterned light-transmittable layer is coated on a face of the electroluminescence layer.

An information exchange method includes steps of shaking a first electronic device and a second electronic device simultaneously; recording a first vibration waveform of the first electronic device and recording a second vibration waveform of the second electronic device; determining whether the first vibration waveform and the second vibration waveform match each other; and transmitting a first information related to the first electronic device to the second electronic device when the first vibration waveform and the second vibration waveform match each other.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal panel and a cross-shaped spacer structure. The liquid crystal panel includes an array substrate, a color filter substrate, and a cross-shaped spacer structures sandwiched between the array substrate and the color filter substrate. The cross-shaped spacer structures includes strip-like first spacers disposed on the upper surface of the array substrate, and strip-like second spacers disposed on the lower surface of the color filter substrate. The end surfaces of each three of the strip-like first spacers and the end surface of each one of the strip-like second spacers are abutted against each other in a cross manner. Thus, when the liquid crystal panel is impacted by external force, the strip-like first spacers and the strip-like second spacers can keep a tight abutment therebetween, so as to ensure the display quality of the liquid crystal panel.
Abstract:
A dual-frequency bistable liquid crystal display and the liquid crystal mixture thereof includes liquid crystal cell filled with a liquid crystal mixture which contains dual-frequency liquid crystal, chiral compound, and nematic liquid crystal mixture. The liquid crystal mixture has the characteristics of both the dual-frequency liquid crystal and cholesteric liquid crystal. The dual-frequency bistable liquid crystal display is driven in a frequency modulation mode and can be switched between two optical states by taking advantage of the dielectric anisotropy of the liquid crystal, which results in a short switching time and sharp contrast between two optical states. Furthermore, the maintaining of the two optical states requires no voltage, which does not require the use of a high voltage to destabilize the helical structure of the cholesteric liquid crystal, and does not have to go through a metastable stage. Hence, power consumption and switching time are reduced.

A semiconductor device including field-effect transistors (finFETs) formed on a silicon substrate. The device includes a number of active areas each having a number of equally-spaced fins separated into regular fins and at least one edge fin, a gate structure over the regular fins, and a drain region as well as a source region electrically connected to the regular fins and disconnected to the at least one edge fin. The edge fins may be floating, connected to a potential source, or serve as a part of a decoupling capacitor.
Abstract:
A solar panel with a pattern includes a substrate and an electricity generating layer. A patterned light-transmittable layer is coated on a face of the electricity generating layer. The patterned light-transmittable layer has a transmittance that permits light rays transmitting the patterned light-transmittable layer to form incident rays incident to the substrate and reflective rays reflected by the substrate. The incident rays and reflective rays are sufficient to generate electricity in the electricity generating layer.
