Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the solid/liquid extraction of a natural extract contained in at least one vegetable solid or micro-organism comprising at least the following steps: solid/liquid extraction of at least one vegetable solid or micro-organism by a first solvent system comprising a solvent content chosen from the solvents comprising between 5 and 8 carbon atoms and one or two oxygen atoms in ether function, or ketone function, or ester function form, of at least 50% by volume in relation to the total volume of the first solvent system, retrieval of a natural extract, notably comprising or consisting of an oil or a butter, particularly enriched with unsaponifiable.
Abstract:
The invention concerns the use of at least a fatty ester for preparing a composition designed to inhibit 5α-reductase activity. Said use produces a remarkable inhibiting effect of 5α-reductase thereby providing a novel response for treating dermatological pathologies and/or disorders related to congenital or acquired exaggeration of 5α-reductase activity, in particular for treating prostatic hypertrophy, prostatic adenoma, acne, hyperseborrhea, alopecia and hirsutism. The invention also concerns cosmetic treatment methods, in particular for greasy skin, and the use of said fatty esters as additives in a food product for human and/or animal consumption.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a process for producing refined avocado oil rich in triglycerides. The invention also pertains to refined avocado oil rich in triglycerides obtainable by said process. Advantageously, the refined avocado oil of the invention contains a sterols-enriched unsaponifiable fraction. Advantageously, the refined avocado oil of the invention is substantially free of acetogenins and furanic lipids. The invention also concerns compositions containing said oil. The invention also pertains to such compositions for use as a medication, as a dermatological agent, as a cosmetic agent, or as a nutriceutical, for human or animal use.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for obtaining a furan lipid-rich unsaponifiable material from avocado, which comprises the successive steps (1) of controlled dehydration of fresh avocados or of avocados that have undergone preliminary transformations, (2) of extraction of the oil from dehydrated fruit, (3) of a heat treatment of the extracted oil and of a step of concentration of the unsaponifiable fraction of the oil or alternately, these two operations possibly being carried out successively in this order or in the reverse order, and finally (4) a step of saponification and of extraction of the unsaponifiable material.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for extracting usaponifiable matters from a vegetable oil comprising at least a saponification step whereby the oil is transformed into a hydro alcoholic solution, a step for extracting the hydro alcoholic solution with a organic solvent such as chloro-1-butane, preferably the treated vegetable oil is avocado or soya oil.
Abstract:
This invention relates to new derivatives of fluoro quinoline carboxylic-3 acid having general formula (I), ##STR1## wherein R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical and Hal is a halogen atom, as well as salts thereof, when they exist, preparation thereof and utilization as synthesis intermediary.
Abstract:
A light ray (6) passes through a light-passing region of a transparent wall (1). Adjacent to said light passing region there is a wettable drop-receiving region (4,5) with a liquid (7,8) thereon. A moving member (11,12) has a rest position in which the liquid is free to occupy only the wettable drop-receiving region, and a working position in which it moves at least a portion of the liquid onto the light-passing region, thereby modifying the light ray (6). Various kinds of switches, such as an on/off switch or a deflector switch, can be devised by suitable choice of the liquid (e.g. its refractive index, or its reflecting properties), and the angle of incidence of the light ray (6). The moving member may be controlled electromagnetically.
Abstract:
A gas-analysis probe is provided, the sensor of which is formed by a concentration pile. The electric signal supplied by the sensor is picked up by means of at least two metal rods which are brazed to the sensor by thermocompression on thin filler-metal layers. The connecting lead-outs are isolated in pure-alumina sheaths maintained in place in a ceramic body by a hardened liquid ceramic filling. A spring absorbs the differences in expansion and fins on the metal casing remove the heat. A perforated cap protects the sensor.
