    摘要: Supported palladium-gold catalyst of high resistance to poisoning by sulfur compounds, not subject to elution by vinylacetylene and not inducing a substantial formation of oligomers, for use in hydrogenation reactions wherein acetylenics and diolefins are selectively hydrogenated, said catalyst being obtained by the steps of: admixing a palladium compound with an inorganic carrier, roasting in the presence of an oxygen-containing gas, treating with a reducing agent, admixing a halogenated gold compound with the resulting composition, treating with a reducing agent, treating with a compound having a basic reaction so as to lower the halogen content of the catalyst below 10 ppm by weight, and roasting, in the presence of an oxygen-containing gas, the palladium and gold compounds being used in convenient proportions so that the catalyst contains 0.03 to 1% palladium and 0.003 to 0.3% gold by weight.

    摘要: The invention concerns a process for the selective hydrogenation of polyunsaturated cyclic compounds comprising at least one endocyclic carbon-carbon double bond and at least one terminal exocyclic carbon-carbon double bond, said double bonds not being conjugated, to form a mixture essentially containing the saturated ring compound and comprising at least one terminal exocyclic double bond, the process being carried out in the presence of hydrogen under a pressure of from 1 to 10 MPa and at a temperature of from 0.degree. to 200.degree. C., and in the presence of a catalyst including a support and (a) from 0.1 to 5% by weight of at least one metal from group VIII (iridium, osmium, nickel, palladium, platinum and rhodium) and (b) from 0.01 to 15% by weight of at least one metal from group IVa (tin, germanium and lead), the molar ratio between metals of group VIII and group IVa being between 0.3 and 3. The process is used for the hydrogenation of 4-vinylcylcohexene to vinylcyclohexane.

    摘要: A process for the elimination of mercury from an overall steam cracking installation, characterized in that regeneration is terminated by the injection of regeneration gas onto an active demercurizing mass, such that there is substantially no trace of mercury in the air or liquids leaving the installation. The process involves the use of three demercurizing masses, namely two upstream of the installation which are in series and one downstream, which latter is demercurized by at least one of the upstream masses. The use more particularly applies to the depollution of steam cracking installations which are already polluted by mercury.
