摘要: A mold M for molding a metallic product including a fixed mold section 2 and a movable mold section 1, wherein heating means 7 is provided in the fixed mold section and cooling means 10 is provided in the movable mold section, which means are controlled by a temperature control device 14 so that any desired temperature is obtainable. Also, as the heating and the cooling of the mold are not repeated, but the fixed mold section is always heated and the movable mold section is always cooled, it is possible to shorten the cycle times.

摘要: A molten magnesium material is filled into a product section of a die. The molten magnesium material is cooled and solidified in the die, so that a molded product is formed. Subsequently, a thread-shaped pin is rotated, so that a female-thread forming section is drawn from the female-thread section of the molded product while the female-thread forming section is rotated. Thus, the female-thread section can be formed when the molded product is formed. A magnesium-alloy material is not apt to stick to a steel material used in the die compared with an aluminum-alloy material, so that the female-thread section can be steadily formed.

摘要: According to the present invention, between the mold-clamping process S1 in which the mold 1 is closed and the injection-pressure increase (solidifying) process S3, the gate-melting process for heating the hot runner 21 to melt the plug (metallic material) of the gate 27, the mold-lubricant coating process for spraying the lubricant onto the wall surface of the cavity 10, and the material-metering process are simultaneously carried out in parallel to each other. Thus, the molding cycle time can be reduced to a great extent.

摘要: A process for providing a coating on a surface of a substrate made of magnesium or magnesium alloy has a step of heating the substrate in a humidified atmosphere therein. It is desirable that the atmosphere has a temperature between 50 and 450 degrees centigrade and a relative humidity between 50 and 100%. It is also desirable that the atmosphere has a pressure between 1.0×105 and 1.0×106 Pa. Further, it is desirable that a thickness of the coating is between 3 and 50 μm. The surface treatment process is suitable for forming a vehicular part such as an ECU case.
