Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel human secreted proteins and isolated nucleic acids containing the coding regions of the genes encoding such proteins. Also provided are vectors, host cells, antibodies, and recombinant methods for producing human secreted proteins. The invention further relates to diagnostic and therapeutic methods useful for diagnosing and treating diseases, disorders, and/or conditions related to these novel human secreted proteins.
Abstract:
A switching-mode power converter includes input and output circuits. A transformer having primary and secondary windings which are respectively coupled to the input and output circuits. The secondary winding has two end terminals respectively connected to first and second switches. The first and second switches are also joined together at a common node. The secondary winding also has a mid terminal. A filter circuit is disposed between the mid terminal and the common node. The first and second switches are controlled by complementary control circuits which selectively allow current to orderly pass through the filter circuit via the switches during the forward rectification, resetting, and freewheeling modes of operation of the power converter.
Abstract:
A pumpkin lighting fixture, comprising a pumpkin-shaped housing, and a lighting mechanism that is installed inside the hollow of the housing: The lighting mechanism is composed of a lamp carrier, a fan and a battery box, which are jointly assembled in a round depression of a base. On the lamp carrier is a plurality of LED lamps, and a woven fabric that is cut in the shape of a flame, so that each LED projects light on the woven fabric. The fan has an air outlet that is aligned with the woven fabric, so air is blown onto the woven fabric to make it bellow. Such a lighting mechanism presents realistic and beautiful burning-flame effects, enabling safety in application of this pumpkin lighting fixture.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel member of the tumor necrosis factor family of receptors. In particular, isolated nucleic acid molecules are provided encoding the human TR9 receptor. TR9 polypeptides are also provided as are antibodies vectors, host cells and recombinant methods for producing the same. The invention further relates to screening methods for identifying agonists and antagonists of TR9 receptor activity.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to improved methods for the production of bioactive peptides. Specifically the present invention relates to improved methods for the chemical hydrolysis of proteins by organic acids in the presence of metallic ions.
Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a clutch-type electric generator for automobile axles which comprises a casing, a stator housing having a plurality of stators fixed therein, a rotor housing movably configured around the axle and having a plurality of rotors fixed therein, and a clutch mechanism. The axle penetrates the casing and rotates with respect to the casing. The clutch mechanism comprises a passive ring, a clutch disc fixed around the axle and a plurality of clutch shoes; wherein the clutch shoes can be centrifugally moved between the clutch disc and the passive ring via a plurality of connecting rods and elastic devices, and can engage with the passive ring fixed on the rotor housing for enabling the rotors to simultaneously rotate along with the axle and to rotate with respect to the stators to generate induced electricity while the automobile has reached a predetermined speed.
Abstract:
An effective dose of a pharmaceutically acceptable phenylbutyrate salt such as sodium phenylbutyrate applied to human ocular tissues or through injection or other means prevents ocular hypertension and treats glaucoma in humans, leading to a new medical therapy for lowering the intraocular pressure via a mechanism different from the existing glaucoma medications. This compound can be formulated in combination with topical or other forms of steroids in prevention and treatment of steroid induced ocular hypertension and glaucoma.
Abstract:
An Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection circuitry comprises a protection device structure. The protection device structure includes at least one transistor with a gate operably connected to a pad. The at least one transistor turns on upon an ESD event and conducting charge to a substrate. At least one additional transistor with a gate operably connected to the substrate turns on after the at least one transistor upon an ESD protection event.
Abstract:
A fan speed testing system includes a voltage regulating module, a rotational frequency collecting module, and a rotational frequency converting module. The voltage regulating module receives an AC voltage signal and converts the AC voltage signal to a variable first DC voltage signal to adjust a rotational speed of a fan. The rotational frequency collecting module detects the rotational speed of the fan and outputs rotational frequency signals. The rotational frequency converting module receives the rotational frequency signals and determines the rotational speed of the fan according to numbers and period of time level voltage switching in the rotational frequency signals.
